My level 2 score is 509/1000. Hmmmm. -
Wow, I'm liking this one a lot. It's the first Deerhunter album I've gotten (not counting the atlas sound album). I like it. What else is good by these guys?

I listened to the album for the first time at school today during my planning period. I was not all that impressed. I'm hoping it's like Cold Roses, which didn't impress on the first listen either. -
The Go-Betweens disc is a great CD/DVD combo. And worth more than five bucks I might add.

The GBV thread got me in the mood for some Uncle Bob.

I'd go with B000 and Alien Lanes. I started with Vampire on Titus but it's way too weird. I would also suggest Earthquake Glue, Under the Bushes Under the Stars and Isolation Drills. As for the EP's (I'll just list 5): 1. Dayton Ohio, 19-something and 5 Freaking awesome song. I remember the first time I heard this song on this single. Awesome. 2. Pipe Dreams of Instant Prince Whippett I used to listen to this one a lot. I thought the white vinyl was cool. 3. Daredevil Stamp Collector/Hold on to Hope DSC is essentially the Hold on to Hope EP. It has 1 extra track. Fly into Ash

Me too! Tuesday will come soo though. -
I agree, his more recent work is far superior to his twee work in my opinion. The old stuff is great but this his newer records are for more entertaining. It may be unfair to compare the his old records vs. his new ones, but the newer records have a far more mature sound to them. His lyrics are just a cringe inducing sometimes, but at least he's not talking about rainows and other crap like that.

I would say that the new one is not his best since he switched from twee-pop to whatever it is he's doing now (post-satanic era). I just can't make it through the whole record...

I've only have 4 songs off of this record, but so far it's great. I just told my brother, who's a big Vic fan that it was great. I love both Vic and Elf Power. I am going to see them in February! NP: Neutral Milk Hotel - Unreleased Demos Edit: I'll know more about Dark Developments in about 8 minutes!!!

This made me so happy.

When I saw him a month ago, he said something about his recent comments about how radiohead sucked but didn't really elaborate. He said he was sorry for making those remarks and saying bad things about South Carolina too. I listen to both but prefer the Jews.

They're a lot of great bands - Arcade Fire, Hold Steady, Band of Horses, Broken Social Scene, the Decemberists, the Shins, Wolf Parade, Iron & Wine, Animal Collective, The New Pornographers The Strokes (this is it is just a great record, I loved it soooo much when it came out), Interpol. Just to name a few.

I saw this album used at two different stores a few weeks ago. I went back to find it tonight and struck out in both stores. Both stores had the album on sale but I wanted the used copies.
