  1. Lou Barlow - Free Sentridoh/Loobiecore
  2. I started with Experimental Jet Set, Washing Machine and Daydream Nation. I also think that that their last three could be great starting places. I had given up on SY before Murray Street, but it's a great album. Sonic Nurse and Rather Ripped are both good too.
  3. I think they're a pretty fair approximation of what MMJ could sound like. I mean, If I heard them in passing, I would mistake them for MMJ. I have to spend more time with the ep and album.
  4. I don't think invites exist! I have tried to obtain an invite for a while now with no luck! This ultimately makes me sad but I get over it.
  5. My first Wilco show...Yep, and it's still my favorite. I've seen all three concerts in Asheville and the ones at the Thomas Wolfe were flat. Nothing beats the 'peel in my opinion. It's may favorite venue in Asheville.
  6. Who cares if it hurts the artist? Of course it hurts them when you buy them used, but it hurts my wallet less and at the end of the day, that's what matters the most. I guess it beats downloading it since you would be supporting the local indie.
  7. I joined in '01 in the fall or sometime around there. I downloaded YHF when it leaked and was blown away. I was a fan of the band but I wanted to find a board to talk about it/the record company and so on, thus finding this place. People have changed their screen names over the years, so I have forgotten many of the original posters and who they were/are. Now, real life has caught up to me and I have less time to be a loser in.
  8. The last one was as boring as all get-out too. I am not sure that I'll be getting this one if it's just as boring.
  9. I agree 110%. I can't imagine my life without this record. I truly is my favorite record of all-time.
  10. It doesn't really redeem it for me because no one, other than hardcore fans, are gonna hear this. To the general populace, they're still a joke.
  11. The EP was okay. It makes me wish they had more acoustic numbers on Zeitgeist. What hurt Zeitgeist was the lack of their softer side. He tried to hard to prove that the pumpkins "rawk." Yet, they also knew how to turn it down a few notches and put out some decent music while being quiet. Apparently they're gonna record soon, so they had better remember that. The b-sides and leftovers from Zeitgeist are the best songs in my opinion.
  12. April 11th, @ the Orangepeel in Asheville! Woot! I'm so gonna try and be there!
  13. This is my first exposure top them. I like it a lot. Short, fuzzy lo-fi songs are my kinda thing. I'll have to check out their other albums too.
  14. I'm trying to find some good torrent sites. Could someone pass along some links or invites or whatever is required to use torrent sites these days. Any pm's or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  15. Alright, I've looked everywhere and can't find this one. Anyone wanna hook a brother up?
  16. If you guys want to waste it on a good cause, waste it on the "help brianjeremy finish his masters" program. It will go to a good cause and help me greatly. thanks.
  17. That's one of the best album that no one has ever heard. I love that album. I wish he still made music like that. Np:
  18. The second track is good, the fifth one is good too, but the album just hasn't hit me yet. I really liked his first album and Pig Lib had it's moments. I really never listened to Face the truth though. I'm not into the jammy stuff. It does feel like a proper follow up to Pig Lib though.
  19. Meh, it's nothing spectacular. I couldn't tell you one song on the last one and this one seems pretty similar so far. I have to give it more time.
