  1. Whether or not the box set sees the light of day really doesn't matter to me; I can't wait for the ep. This is good news. Considering that they are in the process of picking packaging and stuff, it's more likely that it will happen rather than it not happening.
  2. I'm really digging the album a lot. However, I have really been anticipating this release for a while, so my opinion is colored.
  3. I honestly haven't listened to it a whole lot but I've only had for five days now. I've been listening to it to and from work. It's should be mention that I work 3 minutes from where I work though. I have given it about 3 solid listens though yet I feel nothing as of yet. I need to put it on the ipod so I can give it a real listen.
  4. I don't know about this record, it just seems boring to me. I'm not feeling it as much as I had on their first two records. Twin Cinema did nothing for me. I guess I just like the rocking side of the NP.
  5. I love the song and can't wait for the album.
  6. Love both of the bands but I only have Icky Mettle by AoL. I have all but one of 'Chunks albums. No Pocky for Kitty Tossing Seeds On the Mouth Indoor Living Cup of Sand Come Pick Me Up Incidental Music Foolish Here's Where the Strings Come In Here's to Shutting Up s/t (don't own this one yet)
  7. AiC's unplugged was fairly awesome as well. I wonder if they are going to reissue Nirvana's set? That would be one of the most interesting to me.
  8. I've always been fond of this one: Caroline laughs and It's raining all day She loves to be one of the girls She lives in the place In the side of our lives Where nothing is Ever put straight She turns herself round And she smiles and she says 'This is it' 'That's the end of the joke' And loses herself In her dreaming and sleep And her lovers walk Through in their coats Pretty in pink Isn't she? Pretty in pink Isn't she? All of her lovers All talk of her notes And the flowers That they never sent And wasn't she easy And isn't she Pretty in pink The one who insists He was first in the l
  9. Nope, it is too much of a task to listen to. For an album to be enjoyable, it should never feel like a task. I really wanted to like it but I didn't.
  10. I would go in this order: Heartbreaker > Pneumonia > Cold Roses > Demolition > Rock n Roll > Stranger's Almanac > Easy Tiger > Gold > JCN > Faithless Streets > Love is Hell > Rural Free Delivery > 29
  11. I agree whole-heartedly. I do not practice persecution nor do I condone the actions of hate that are done in the name of Jesus. I am sorry some of you feel that that's what a christian does. I have never told anyone they are wrong for practicing whatever religion they practice. I will never persecute another for their faith-based practices, whether it be Christian, Muslim, or witchcraft. If you want to worship a rock - go for it. If that rock is what it takes to help you get through this world and answers all of your questions about life and why we are here - go for it. If you want a
  12. There is a a difference between faith and religion. Faith is something that should always be practiced. Leave religion for before and after work. As for the bible studies it appeared that they took place before work or at gatherings not on the clock, as it were.
  13. So long as they are not forcing you or others to participate in their Bible studies, then it is a private practice of their faith. They are not bully-ragging you into joining them nor are they making a "have to" part of the job. I'm sure all who are interested can join. There is nothing wrong with one practicing their faith so long as they do not force against their will.
  14. Personally, I would rather my officials have a walk with Christ than not. The Pentagon workers who are having Bible studies are a great, great thing. Is there something wrong with that? People will fight like hell to try and protect everyone else's rights and make sure everything is pc, but when a Christian practices his faith, they are persecuted. It's one thing to misuse your faith (which I believe the current administration does), but there is quite a bit of difference for someone to try and deepen their relationship within their faith and make informed decisions based upon their faith
  15. So far, this record makes me appreciate Mary Star of the Sea so much more. Aside from a few decent tracks, their new one is not very remarkable.
  16. For me, it has been unique only to this site on two different computers. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one!
  17. Every time I try and connect to vc, I get several "connection was reset messages." This also happens while I browse the site. Is anyone else having this problem? This has happened on two different computers and has occurred many times over the past few days....
  18. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Band of Horses - Everything all the time Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger AC/DC - Dirt Deeds.... Los Campesinos! - Sticking Fingers into Sockets
  19. Still going through all the Vonnegut I can read.
  20. Jules: What does Marcellus Wallace look like? Brett: What? Jules: What country you from? Brett: What? Jules: What ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak English in What? Brett: What? Jules: ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER! DO-YOU-SPEAK-IT? Brett: Yes! Jules: Then you know what I'm saying! Brett: Yes! Jules: Describe what Marcellus Wallace looks like! Brett: What, I-? Jules: Does he look like a bitch? Brett:
  21. The best album the Pumpkins never released.
  22. Agreed. I gave it a spin the other day. I love that album.
