  1. Go easy on the new recruit Staff Sergeant Setlist.
  2. It's been a while for that hasn't it? Always wanted to hear that JT solo in person.
  3. Bataclan 2007 I believe. I think the Elysee Montmartre has been rebuilt after the fire, though of course the Bataclan had its own darker day if that's what you mean.
  4. I seem to remember gifting you a Paris ticket stub once after you had mislaid yours - possibly when that mad French guy was trying to start moshing around you (or maybe he was just trying to get a lock of your hair - thanks for mine by the way: still in the lucky locket). It's some consolation now to think that there's a part of me always with you.
  5. I've just captured the Bbop segments of the stream and formed them into a loop along with the Everyone Hides cameos to play as a new video installation in an updated section of his shrine situated in my garage. On special festival days I light a jostick rolled from recycled Wilco ticket stubs in his honour, while chanting his meditative invocation "Om Mani Padme Cubs". P.S. My sect tends to shy away from anything tantric, but once in the garage visitors can feel free if the spirit moves you (as long as you clean up after yourself).
  6. OK then, so how is the Beatles cover? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPIsTKpAoE4
  7. The UK band apparently contained the original writers of the song who had a more clean cut Peter and Gordon/no guitar solo style hit with it in the 60s, and they wrote the theme for the famous coke ad "I'd like to teach the world to sing" amongst other things - one of which I knew below. Also one of them was in Blue Mink. So that's one piece of useful knowledge that's come out of today.
  8. Different group, same song (I think). The Congregation were from the UK, predictably called "The English Congregation" in the US to avoid confusion with the lot you mentioned. I stress that I did not know that off the top of my head. Also, "The English Beat" brings me out in a rash. They are THE BEAT.
  9. Funnily enough I heard that on the radio when driving back from Scotland yesterday. (Johnny Walker's Sound of the 70s show - which is a bizarre mixture spanning prog to punk) Maybe we can agree on a compromise with Wilco supported with a 'clients' choir.
  10. Thanks for making me feel so special. Meanwhile, this is the sort of thing I want from Wilco when I see them next. I want to get sweaty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX5O1aLO87k
  11. Good to have them back. I mean Bbop's epistles, not that poxy band.
  12. Sammy can be the new Gladys Pugh
  13. To be honest I have had enough of acoustic guitar. arrangements at the moment. I need something loud, upbeat/popish and exciting.
  14. Ta. (Though I haven't sent you an email for a download and am not sure I will, I salute your effort for the community)
  15. Glenn Richards says yes (he had a solo album recently too but I prefer the full band). You got the last one Bootikins? Really like "I Hurtle Back to a Conservative Locker" from that one too.
  16. Just a few minutes ago had my Earth Day 1990 t-shirt in my hands. A friend sent it to me from the US - I had never heard of Earth Day then. It was still seeing good service until about 18 months ago when there were a few too many holes. It's now in pieces as a general purpose garage rag/paint brush cleaning cloth P.S. That is not me or my actual t-shirt, but same design.
  17. Augie March e.g. from the last one, just poignant & gorgeous:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6iTNv0p-Do
  18. "All hands on neck!" shouted Capo Jack Sparrow. etc.
