That's a very neat idea! Would you do it in that order, too? New album, Night 1. Rest of catalog, Night 2.

Thank you for this info, Heart full of holes. That's a great deal for the bunk beds, for someone like me who will only be there to sleep. Have you had trouble contacting them before? I've tried placing a call to ask some questions about any type of public transportation or what to expect for car rental services, but no luck getting through.

I was able to find a few locations that still had rooms, but I am not familiar with the territory up there so I am doing some research to see which options are best for getting to and from the festival (I'm going to be without car). Can you rent a tent up there or is that something you would have to provide yourself?

Had a great conversation with Diane (Wilco Me) yesterday and I have started the search for lodging options. Calling around to a few places, I have found some with a few rooms still available. I was hoping that there might be others in a similar position looking to split a place and reduce costs overall. So far the cheapest I have found is $139/night, but open to other possibilities and would love to connect with others thinking about going the same route on lodging.

Thank you for this info. I'm not sure if anyone reached out to you yet, but I'm interested. I bought my early bird ticket and bus passes (coming from NYC) and thought I might have a few companions coming with me. Turns out I'm going solo at the moment. Not sure if this room is spoken for yet, but I'm interested and if it has been I would love to split the costs with anyone if there is a spot available. Any advice would be great! First Solid Sound for me!

With the Wilco folks in town (NYC) for a few days, where do you think they might be around the city? Ever have random run-ins with any of the guys before in New York? The only time I saw Nels when he wasn't performing was when Autumn Defense were playing the Living Room. But Nels was doing a few shows that week as well, so it wasn't completely a surprise to see him there. P.S. I will be at both Brooklyn shows. The first one I will enjoy with a few friends outside of the fence. I have a ticket for the second night. Who's going to be there?

Having read Wilco: Learning How to Die and also having a few drinks in me, I keep visualizing a documentary based on the history of Uncle Tupelo and how Son Volt/Wilco came to be. Can you foresee a film of this nature happening? Interviews with both Farrar & Tweedy and band members past & present. Of course, being a fan I could watch a mini-series that would last many hours concentrating on the music of these folks, but even a short film would be incredible.

Uncle Tupelo is the greatest fucking band ever. From KC, to Nashville, then NYC. They stay with me. Listen to them all. -

Do I need to be a member with Frontgate? How does it work? Thank you

Hey! I've never done presale before? Is it too late to be a part of that? What all is involved? I'm looking at the Central Park show on the 23rd.

Solid Sound VC meetup, Round 2--new and improved
laundrymachinedream replied to Magnetized's topic in Just A Fan
Hey! Not trying to derail thread, but I have a question! I recently moved to NYC from far away, so the idea of going to this is a reality. I work Friday, so I am looking to make it up there for the other two days. Being new to this area, what are the travel options to get to Solid Sound? I see they teamed up with a transportation company, but it looks like I can't go that route as they are only leaving on Friday at Noon. Thank you for any recommendations!
