Been trying to listen to JGB 8/11/74 lately. The recording is fantastic but it features the insipid musical stylings of Martin Fierro. I just cant get past the way he plays the sax. I hear no improvisation or energy just languid boring bleats. The flute playing is a bit better but still.......flute? Whats up Jerry, you high or something?

I'm almost done with the "Fire and Fury" book. I started it hesitantly but was pleased to find that it didn't read like a gossip magazine. No one will ever know how much of the book is accurate but even if only 20% of it is, wow. To my knowledge, there has never been such a group of dingalings in charge of a 1st world country before. It is rather telling that the GOP hasn't attempted to refute anything in the book....

The one and only time I stayed at Bong, the twig pigs were awful. I've stayed at various places in Kettle Moraine over the last 20 years, never had any problems. Just saying.

I strongly suspect that I sat near Ken Kesey on Apine's lawn in '87. Man, did people walking up and down the hill love this big, brawny, bald guy once they spotted him. I couldn't figure it out but I hardly knew anything back in 87. Hhhmmm....

I read that too. My wife and I sorta chuckled over it. Based on our experience last year (it was actually scary crowded at one point) and our experience yesterday (we watched the entire march go by while hanging out in Federal plaza), there appeared to be much less people this year. I could be wrong, who knows. It was still cool and I hope it gave the entire GOP administration heartburn and palpitations.
