Me and my family marched in Chicago. Crowd didn't appear to be the same massive size as last year but there were still a lot of folks and a lot of smiles and good positive intelligent energy.

Today, I reviewed the line up for Bonnaroo. Not that I was considering going but wow, what a shitty bill.

My brothers have been raving about GVF lately but when I want to listen to Zeppelin, I put some Zep on.

Yesterday, about 4pm, a McMansion went up in flames across the street from me. The smoke could be seen for miles. Everybody's ok but the home appears to be a total loss. I know it's the firemans job but fighting fires in sub zero weather has just gotta suck.

Today, this cold snap has frozen me to the core. What I would do for a temp of 20 degrees.

The demise of this administration and the GOP cant come quick enough.

Just finished "Hue:1968" by M Bowden. Very well researched.

We watched "The Book Thief" last night. Had never heard of it and was pleasantly surprised by how well done it was.

Cary Grant got all the good lines in "North By Northwest"

Saw "It Comes At Night" recently. Lordy, what a snooze fest. Acting was fine but that plot....yeesh. Also, "North By Northwest". Somehow I've never seen this one until last night. Good stuff, not Hitchcock's best but up there.

The only silver lining is the dirtbags who voted for it are on record as having done so.

Retired? Heh, that was on my lunch break. The concept of retirement for me is like a utopian dream that I know wont come true. Happy holidaze everybody! Oh yeah, still digging on that newly released Dylan gospel stuff.

Today, I finished wrapping the presents.

Funny you should mention Apocalypse Now. Just last night I was listening to the vinyl soundtrack that I picked up over the weekend. Remember that scene when Willard and Lance get off the boat and go looking for someone in command? Lance is tripping his brains out. Well, that entire scene is on the soundtrack. And that scene is one of my favorite film moments of all time. Needless to say, I was thrilled.

Last night, it was "Wind River". Slow but moving. Renner can convey a lot of emotion without saying a word.

Watched "Get Out" recently. We didn't realize that was the dude from Black Mirror's "15 Million Merits" until afterwards. Anyhow, good stuff!

I've been listening to the new Bootleg release "Trouble No More" that covers his much scorned Christian period and am totally blown away with how good it is. Highly recommended for Bobby D fans.
