Ya know, that does sound like a line from a DLR tune. I totally hear it. I'm waiting to hear from the owner. I suspect that I wont.

Today, I left a message for the owner of my auto repair shop to discuss a quote I recently received from them. It was to replace the rotors and brake pads on the back brakes. Total amount, $355. Last night, I happened to be at a pals house who suggested we jack up my car, take the tires off and look at those brakes. We did so and found the brakes in great shape, pads barely worn and lots of life left on the rotor. Lesson? Never trust a mechanic, always get a second opinion. So obviously, we are never going there again. I'm tempted to post reviews on yelp and google, with pictures. Any thoughts

Squirrel on squirrel crime is of no concern to me nor their motivations or species squabbles. I shall have my justice! (or I'll just buy another, better squirrel-proof feeder)

Today my $30 squirrel-proof birdfeeder was destroyed by a squirrel. Revenge will be mine. Prior to todays event, we had some red-bellied woodpeckers visiting. Great looking bird!

Lets not forget that trump lost the popular election by almost 3 million votes and something like 10 million more votes were cast in the midterms for Dem candidates. I also like to think that any intelligent independent voter who voted for him in 2016 has already regretted that action. Then there are the rational GOP'ers who have already walked away from this administration as well.

Set up my birdfeeders over the weekend so I've been watching all sorts of finches, nuthatches and wood peckers lately.

I'm working under the assumption its the new(ish) line up. Elmo has been playing live with the band for a few years now. I also read that a goal of their new album is to add lots of new songs to their current rotation. We shall see.

Hey, glad you liked the new album. They are playing a small club in Chicago in early June. I hope to get some tix tomorrow morning

Today, I just finished listening to the new Meat Puppets album. It took me two days to get thru it. The guys went and removed all the things I like about the band: the biting guitar, the weirdness, their "edge". I always wanted them to do an acoustic record but this one is just too dang straight. "Rat Farm" still remains my fav of their recent releases. YMMV.

Today the new Meat Puppets album arrived at my home.

Watched "The Sisters Brothers" last night. I liked the book but I wouldn't watch the movie again.

This Cohen testimony has been fantastic so far. He is coming across as credible and truthful while the GOP congressmen cant seem to handle him or even land a glancing blow.

Started listening to that new box set from the Pacific NW ('73-'74). Love it so far, Phil's bass really comes thru.

Terrible weekend for the Hawks. Kane's streak stopped at 20 too.
-
Hey, watch it with the low blows ;-)

I'm thinking this may be an exciting game. Avs blow, nyah nyah!

Today I'm getting excited about the Blackhawks trouncing the Avs this evening. Also, the new Meat Puppets album is coming out soon!

I believe I saw her at Fitzgeralds back in the early 90s. I don't have any strong memories of her though

Last weekend I was watching a dvd of the GD playing on 4/26/77 and low n behold, Jerry was playing slide during Dancin'. Never saw that before, for some reason I thought any slide work was done by Bobby. Btw, that show is on youtube too. Its pro-shot and the sound is great, highly recommended. Only downside is its in black and white but whatever.

Yeah, supposedly about Jesse fleeing Albuquerque (I had to look up the spelling of that word, heh)

My wife and I finished BB a couple years ago, way after the finale. We loved it! Better Call Saul is great too

Saw "Green Book" yesterday. It was like watching Driving Miss Daisy meets The Odd Couple.
-
Watched "Children of Men" last night. That is a fantastic film, well done.

I've had "Highlands" from Time Out of Mind on repeat over the last few days. What an interesting song. I've had it on vinyl for close to 20 yrs and didn't really recognize it as a tune worthy of paying closer attention to until recently.
