Turns out the guy was caught hiding in the backyard. He even took a walk around the neighborhood before being apprehended. It appears my local police department take a Mayberry approach to law enforcement. Really instills a sense of confidence, know what I mean?
-
Resolved. He beat up his elderly parents, who then called the cops so he pulled the ol' pistol to the head standoff routine. VC? That's how I was describing him, wearing Viet Cong clothing.
-
Me too. Assuming everything is resolved peacefully, I wouldn't mind if this guy is moved elsewhere because he's been giving me and the family the creeps for a few years (only wears black pajama like clothing, apparently doesn't wash his hair, has had a few full-on screaming events in the darkened backyard).

Today (like right now), my neighbor to the south is holed up in his house with a gun threatening violence. I have cops all over the place, armed with semi automatic weapons. Fun in unincorporated Will county! (fingers crossed that everyone will be ok)

We watched John Leguizamo's "Latin History for Morons" last night. Well done, insightful, funny. He's pretty good at what he does, surprised he isn't more popular

Hey Inside, did you see the dwarf fall off "Stonehenge" at the beginning of the show? And if so, what was your (and the crowds) reaction?
-
I've heard folks say 13 is pretty good

Trashed and Disturbing the Priest are based on actual events. Didn't Ward sink Gillans houseboat in retaliation for Gillan blowing up Wards brand new car?
-
That's it! Now just turn the kid bright orange and paste in the fangs, horns and claws....
-
Trashed and Disturbing the Priest are good tracks too. Maybe Zero the Hero if the lyrics weren't so stupid.

Hanging out with a buddy over the weekend, looking thru his albums and came across Black Sabbath's "Born Again". Lots of people detest this album, but I always liked it primarily because Ian Gillan is singing and the album cover is so over the top bad that its actually pretty cool. Anyhow, my buddy hates this album so now it graces the top shelf in my living room.

Man, doesn't it seem like the midterm election was eons ago?
-
Kinda. I had my heart set on Al Pastor because they are so darned tasty. I guess four steak tacos is a good consolation prize. Btw, they are now resting comfortably in my belly.
-
Today, I went to the local taco stand for a couple Al Pastor tacos. Brought them home and opened the bag to find four steak tacos instead.

Yes, Sessions was canned, sorry about the confusion.
-
Sessions resigned, according to the radio report I'm listening to

Not a perfect election but I will take it. So happy that Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten won. The suburbs of Chicago are turning blue!

Velvet Underground's "Loaded", side A
-
Ok, what album can you slap on the turntable and enjoy every single note? For me, that would be Dire Straits side A, "Making Movies". Three wonderful tunes: "Tunnel of Love", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Skateaway", all tunes that seem to have fallen off the Rock n Roll radar screen for some reason. What is your album side masterpiece?

"The Sisters Brothers" by P. deWitt. Halfway thru it, well written, funny. I'm gonna check out more of deWitt's stuff.

The guy is a double secret deep state agent planted by Hillary years ago to infiltrate the Trumpian right wing in order to.......wait....huh?
-
He opened the show with the news. 12/21 is his last day. First The Loop getting snapped up by vengeful christians, now this, whoa.

Today, I just heard that Steve Dahl is going off the air in December. 40 some years on the air, a Chicago radio legend. I grew up listening to the guy and will definitely miss him.
