  1. Vampire Weekend - Blue CD-R I had Oxford Comma for a while and was gonna hold off on full length til the official one leaked, but that song is too infectious and made me seek out Blue CD-R. So yeah, good album and I dig the Massachusetts references all over the place. Are these guys from here?
  2. Inspired choice my friend. One of the very best MM songs.
  3. As long as we are ranking DCFC albums, I'll throw my hat in and say Something About Airplanes is my fave, quickly followed by The Photo Album.
  4. Biggest Surprises Radiohead - In Rainbows: I remember thinking I wouldn't hear new Radiohead until 2008. Then I was looking around online and started screaming "10 DAYS! 10 DAYS! 10 DAYS!". My roommate is a huge Radiohead fan and was in the other room, but immediately knew. Just a great surprise. Dinosaur Jr. - Beyond: Like Solace said, it's like they never left. This seriously stands up to Bug and You're Living All Over Me. J sounds fantastic and his solos are as good as ever. 6. Hey! I thought Get Lonely was awesome. Great breakup album...maybe you just have to be in that damaged emotional state to connect to it.
  7. Yeah the bookend idea didn't really word. All In It comes off as a massive intro and then it kicks into Lights Out, but We Close Our Eyes is just begging me to put on something else rather than wait for the redundant outro. Great album though.
  8. Bangers & Mash came out really well. I liked the live version of Up on the Ladder better when it was spazzier. Like Videotape, they didn't record Four Minute Warning the way I would have liked. I liked it when it featured big piano chords and that anthemic feel. I like the strings in Down is the New Up and Last Flowers is pretty touching. Overall, not bad for an EP.
  9. Someone should tabulate all the lists (i.e. what they do at atease) and come up with a ViaChicago top albums of 2007. Noses.

  19. The girls have to go to a physician or nurse practitioner to get the pills, so I assume their family doctor will know what they are on. And yes, birth control pills are FDA approved for under 18.
