  1. Got there just before 3:30, doors opened just after 4:30. However - big caveat here - this is Florida, and we had to stand and bake in 90+ heat for part of that...and one young lady almost passed out. So, not surprisingly, there were less than 100 people there at that hour. And those of us who hit the rail by 4:45 pretty much did not budge for the next 6 hours. I will say that the general admission pit area at this place is pretty big. During the main shows, there were probably 700-800 people behind us. Very cool. And, being an amphitheater, we were (mercifully) out of the sun as soon as we go
  2. If VC had a "Like" button, i would click this comment.
  3. View from the rail during Dead Flowers. There has to be a better way to upload stuff on here using a Mac. My 426 kb file automatically shrinks to 72? I don't get it...
  4. Today I have a post-Bob Weir/My Morning Jacket/Wilco/Bob Dylan hangover.
  5. There's also a little clip of FOTD there too. Ha, so the person who updates Wilco's Facebook page got it wrong and I got it right? Okay, someone needs to hire me, stat.
  6. I'm sure this stuff wasn't funny at the time, but reading about it is pretty funny. Now your friends can yell "Mystifies Me!" at you and always get a classic dirty look in return.
  7. Here's a report that made it online. Couple nice little clips: http://www.jambase.com/Articles/118846/Bob-Weir-Sits-In-With-My-Morning-Jacket-And-Wilco-In-Tampa
  8. It really was. I was expecting nothing, since he had already joined MMJ for Dear Prudence. Dead Flowers was priceless, and then Friend of the Devil...what can you say? 9. One great thing about last night: Bob's engagement. Viewing him from the rail/front row, I think he smiled at least 15-20 times, and those are just the ones I noticed. It was downright shocking how into it, and having a good time, he seemed to be. Caught him on a good night, I guess.
  10. Okay, so to put the set list in a nice readable format... One by One Hesitating Beauty Muzzle of Bees War on War Sunken Treasure IATTBYH Art of Almost Hummingbird Dawned on Me Dead Flowers (w/ Bob Weir) Friend of the Devil (world premiere w/ Bob Weir) Handshake Drugs Impossible Germany Born Alone Walken I Got You Looks like I missed Born Alone in my play-by-play. Oops. First of all, Bob Weir was great. The man can still command a stage, even with just an acoustic guitar. Very surprised by how hard he pushed himself vocally, and it was crystal clear. I was writing the set list down, but the
  11. I do believe it is an all-time first. Weir sang lead and I believe Jeff and John sang harmony. Jeff may have tried a verse, but I was too busy trying to post and being overexcited to remember the details. For a Deadhead/Wilco fanatic, it was pretty damn epic. Gotta sleep now, but if anyone has other feedback on the set list, corrections, etc., feel free to add. Peace.
  12. Weir on fire now. Got Me & My Uncle, Black Throated, Music Never Stopped, Walkin' Blues. Simply epic. Holy fuck.
  13. If I get one, I'll be happy to pay. If I don't, eh, not so much. I'm taking a youngster who has never seen any of these folks, so not sure how much I'll be interacting with him, but I'll still try to at least track the Wilco set list. Cheers.
  14. Might as well set this up now, since it's easier to do it on a computer than to try to get that Topic Title format correct on my dang smartphone. I will post some info for you guys later, if not complete setlists. I don't know the MMJ material at all, so someone else will have to do that part. See ya at the show!
  15. That is so cool, I really hope that they repeat that, at least for tonight. Thanks for the info. I am going to be there in about 4 hours, so I am psyched. Will give you guys some sort of report on here later.
  16. It's tempting. Sure, I'll take that bet. Dylan seems so insular to me these days, I feel confident I can take your $5.
