  1. Correctamundo. Could happen, but highly unlikely. I'm always thrilled when they break out Magazine Called Sunset at a show, but I know it's unlikely. Best to keep the expectations in check.
  2. I bought the "request" show last night. It was downloading when I went to bed, so looking forward to checking it out later.
  3. Is there info online somewhere about this? Kind of an interesting development....
  4. This looks like another great one. I am loving these set lists!
  5. This is kind of hilarious to me, as in all these years I have only posted about 3,000 times. Somehow I get more active on here as time goes by. Never got to know your daughter as I've gotten to know you, but I kinda miss her presence on here. Love that youthful enthusiasm, I guess.
  6. Wow! Amazing. Kudos to whoever recorded this, and thanks for posting, leatherman. Edit: at around 11 minutes, you can see how this was recorded: they were back on the lawn where the security a-holes couldn't see them. Pretty good quality on the zoom, considering where they were.
  7. I'm really glad they're releasing this. I am listening to an audience recording of it right now at work, but I'm going to pay for that SBD recording and download it as soon as I get home. If they could find the right price point for their (admittedly shorter) sets with Bob Weir, I'd buy those too. God, I'm such an addict.
  8. Are we helping people see the error of their ways? I'm sure there are people out there who don't much like Sunken Treasure or Poor Places, but honestly, as has been mentioned in this thread earlier, how many home runs can you hit in a row? With a catalogue as incredible as Wilco's, they're bound to whiff occasionally. Just because you love it, that doesn't mean the general consensus is one of love for it.
  9. You could make the same argument for Walken, too.
  10. It ranks pretty near the bottom of my list, but still above SBS. Cue exploding heads from several posters on this thread.
  11. I was there and thought Jeff and Bobby were trading lines. Apparently it was Nels.
  12. I seriously wish I could have caught all four of these shows with Bobby. All very different (well, with the exception of Dylan's set list). Just happy I was able to attend two. It will be interesting to see what is coming up with the other acts. Richard Thompson? Will he join Wilco onstage for a Fairport Convention cover, or one of his solo tunes? Cannot imagine.
  13. Banter alert: after Dark Star, Jeff said, "I didn't see that one coming."
  14. Yeah, it was incredibly tight security. Even back in the 200 section, staff members were walking around with "Absolutely No Photography" signs, and I was told by one of the other concertgoers that one of them had taken her cell phone camera and made her delete a photo! I think the only way full-length versions of songs will surface would be if someone smuggled some decent recording equipment into the venue in her purse.
  15. Some more info (and more video) here: http://www.jambands.com/news/2013/07/01/bob-weir-joins-wilco-and-my-morning-jacket-at-his-final-americanarama-show#.UdGnHo7R2-I http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/videos-wilco-and-my-morning-jacket-with-bob-weir/
  16. Slack security, awesome! Wish I could have traveled up to TN. Nothing this good is likely to emerge from Atlanta. Some day, one of us will be cobbling together a "Wilco Plays the Dead" mix from these shows.
  17. Those vocals were all Nels?? Holy cow, I thought it was Jeff. Obviously, I wasn't in the pit for this show, and of course I was dancing around quite a bit. Never even thought to look at Nels during the vocals. Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I am not optimistic about us getting much good audio of the night. Security really was tight. I mean, the guy asked me to empty the pockets of my cargo shorts on the way in, so I can't imagine anyone smuggling in any kind of gear, but who knows? Anything is possible. At least someone documented a bit of it for posterity. By the way, if any
  18. If there is, it's from far back. Security was very, very tight. Great set, though. Can't believe I called Airline to Heaven...let the record show. So...no other VCers there?
  19. Jeff and Bobby traded lines instead of verses. Insane.
  20. 6/29 Hell in a Bucket When I Paint My Masterpiece Playin Twilight Time The Other One > Shaky Ground MMJ (google it) I Know You Rider w/Weir Airline Roses Ashamed YAMF Sunday Almost Dark Star> California Stars> Dark Star Always in Love HMD Dawned Monday Outtasite
  21. Nice, thanks for posting those! It was more exciting in person. What do you think they will do tonight in Atlanta? Airline opener and Cinnamon Girl with Weir? That would work.
  22. Happy to oblige. You will have a great spot and a great time!
  23. Forgot one funny bit of banter, really the only truly funny thing all night. During the MMJ set, it got very cloudy, and there was a very audible crack of thunder during a fairly quiet song - which prompted a John Belushi-esque raise of the eyebrows from singer Jim James. Then there was a bit of rain, the classic Florida thundershower: I looked to my right and could see that it was raining on the right side of the amphitheater...then looked to my left, and it was not raining on that side! Before Wilco came out, one of the ladies in the crowd near us pointed out a rainbow that was visible from
