I don't think enough time has been spent/wasted on how awful those VW ads are. I bet Wilco was imagining some kind of inspired use of their tunes, such as the "Da, Da, Da" ad from the 90s, or that tune VW used for their windshield wipers/kid bouncing basketball synchronicity ad - these are just godawful, stupid, boring ads.

"People on this board" is a broad generalization - there has been plenty of criticism from long and short-time Wilco fans on this board ever since the album first streamed way back in April(?) - what we don't need is somebody starting a thread when they have a half-assed review on a blog that says nothing that hasn't already been said a thousand times already. I wish I had blinders for this sort of thing. Now that I think more about your statement, I realize what a great idea that is - listening with blinders on. Holy mixed metaphor.
