I visited the store in my neighborhood and didn't find anything that I needed, but I felt the urge to support the place on this day so I picked up a copy of the Summerteeth reissue LP (two birds/one stone too since it came with a CD and my copy was about half past dead). The Rolling Stones' "Plundered My Soul" 7" was there, which I just looked up and listened to here - they claim it's an unearthed gem from those sessions but I'll be damned if that doesn't sound like current day Mick.

Just watched the first episode. Good Lord. So happy to hear they've already ordered another season. This is gonna be one of the greats, no doubt.

Seconded on The Straight Story. u2, you gotta see that one. Sure it's G rated, but it's also 100% Lynch. One of the best movies of the year (and since we're talking about 1999, that's high praise). Thanks for resurrecting this thread Heartbreak. Just reread it all and am reminded how much I am a fan. Love all the movies (never seen Dune though and don't plan to).

That kicked ass. Thanks for posting. -
Aww, that's the nicest thing you've ever said about the Red Sox.

Thanks buddy. Didn't they say in previous years which stores would have which items?

My man Robert put the poster from All Things Must Pass up on one wall and the 8x10 glossy insert from one of Steve Martin's albums (this one) on the opposing wall. He said he wanted them to "have it out." One day he came home and Steve was on the floor. He was pretty excited to report that The Dark Horse had triumphed.

Mikey Adams has long been my favorite WEEI sports jockey, but he outdid himself the other night, in the middle of complaining about J.D. Drew: "There's nothing more boring than a one-eighty average." Most of the awesomeness was probably in the delivery, but I can tell you I almost drove off the road laughing.

Maybe they'll jimnap him when they're in Japan later this month.

"It ain't nuthin' but a muffin...and we gotta lotta butter to go!" - Prince, onstage in Sign 'O' The Times

But a cookie topped with butter would probably taste gross. Butter added to a muffin (particularly melting atop a split, toasted muffin), is fucking delicious.

Why all of these people were on the same plane is a mystery to me, but more importantly, my heart goes out to the Polish people. What a horrible loss. http://www.npr.org/t...oryId=125810009

Bob Dylan's 30th anniversary celebration

Yeah I remember thinking back then that the most impressive thing about the whole affair was Eddie Vedder knowing all the words to Masters of War. -
Oh shit.

Words flashing on the giant screen behind them at a show I was at: "PLEASE DON'T WAIT" "FOR THE QUIETEST MOMENT" "IN THE QUIETEST SONG" "TO YELL" "SO CENTRAL RAIN" "BILL DOESN'T LIKE THAT"
