  2. Thank you for the kind words! I hope that ZiggyBratwurst pops in to see the praise. That’s correct! I’m positive that Jeff gave the name for Save It For Me because it was on the very first episode as a recording, so when he played it live he mentioned that and also gave us the title. “I’d Rather Be Alone” was a title that I picked out after I listened to the song several times a couple of days ago. Jeff never gave the song title. In fact, I made a “private” YouTube video for myself for the tune. When I went to search for it to see if I did make it private, I was shocked to see a video al
  3. I’d like to thank AdamCU81 for reaching out to me in a PM to let me know that Monty (VC screen name: ZiggyBratwurst) in a Wilco Reddit thread was trying to reach me. He was working on an Excel spreadsheet utilizing my recaps & Paul’s cover comments in real time and wanted to share it with all of us. So here’s an Excel spreadsheet that features the songs that have been performed on The Tweedy Show. It looks amazing! I’m having a bit of trouble uploading a sample pic, but I’ll fix that in a bit. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRT_myMknrM_1yZ5GXAWGCcGxMQqBUqRMthiw-IMGmcaLCN6

  7. Strange! I had a recollection that that song was played about 6 times that summer. Well, 3 times does make me feel really lucky to hear it. That’s such a cool story! Hmm. From that story it sounds like it was a song that was never recorded and just tried out live the 3 times. I also think Let’s Fight is the last unreleased song to be played by Wilco in concert. Sky Blue Sky definitely had quite a few “b-sides”, so that made it even stranger that it never showed up way back then.
  8. I heard the song at the Pines Theater in Florence, MA which just happened to be 3 nights after this show in Fredericton. I really enjoyed the song when I heard it. I loved the music and the lengthy guitar solo which actually sounds like Jeff & not Nels. I could be wrong on that though. Oh, and I remember watching that year’s Lollapalooza on my computer. Jeff was wearing a green suit. I don’t think any videos exist of that live stream. There are a few amateur videos though.
  9. Nugs just released the July 13, 2006 Fredericton, New Brunswick show on their streaming service. This show is really cool because it has Let’s Fight. One of my Tweedy Show comments was asking Jeff what happened to this song, but Susie most likely didn’t see it. I am curious though if it was ever recorded.

  19. Signed up for this a week ago and I’m loving this. I don’t know if it’s because of the current pandemic, but Nugs is offering a free month trial. The 99, 01 & 03 shows are worth it alone. Just resurrecting this thread to say that the 2004 NYC NYE show is missing the cover of Devo’s Gut Feeling/Slap Your Mammy. I mention it because the “liner notes” have been pretty good about talking about omitting a song due to an audio issue.
  20. I think the “in the round” show that Jeff was talking about took place at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. [https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/wilco/2000/cape-cod-melody-tent-hyannis-ma-4bef0f12.html] It’s an infamous venue for its’ unique design with the stage being “in the round”. There are two other unique venues like that in MA: the North Shore Music Theater & the South Shore Music Circus. I only knew of that Natalie Merchant tour when I was looking up on Setlist.FM how many times Wilco has played New Hampshire. They played up in Gilford, NH at a place called Meadowbrook Farm near Lake Winnip
