John : “I think Wilco will try to make a record remotely over this winter, and see how that works. We did try it with the song "Tell Your Friends" and it came out quite good.” Here’s the original Portuguese version. http://screamyell.com.br/site/2020/09/16/tesouros-submersos-os-primeiros

  7. Lyrics for the new record are available on the Bandcamp app. I haven’t checked the website to see if they have them too.
  8. RE: Half Asleep - I’ve been listening to a few of the songs and I noticed that the first line in “When You Need Me I’ll Be There” is “half asleep all your dreams come alive”. You can check out Kate Vassos’ video. Todd Leopold has the song listed as “No One But You”. I’ll leave my list unchanged just in case.
  9. Great list, knotgreen! We like lists, so I had a running list on my iPhone of all of the unreleased songs that he’s done on The Tweedy Show. I reorganized it to fit the album sequencing. I placed episode numbers and a few notes here and there. And songs with quotes around them means that they are untitled. You might find them with a different title under YouTube user Todd Leopold. (Don’t mind the spacing. It looked too compressed without it.) Love Is The King Opaline (Ep 64/Ep 75) A Robin Or A Wren (Ep 3/Ep 39/Ep 83) Gwendolyn (Ep 60/Ep 61/Ep 79) Bad Day Lately (Ep 40/Ep 62) Even
  10. Thank you for the kind words! Yes, it does seem like a long time ago.
  11. Someone posted the album cover in one of the threads on the Shot In The Arm group. I’d post it, but I can’t seem to upload photos from my iPhone onto VC anymore. Edit: Ah! I see that RainDog found the cover. Nice!
  12. The date that I saw passed around during the chat was Friday October 16th. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158777819555421&id=8290410420&ref=bookmarks It sounds like there’s a 15 second tease on the Wilco FB page.

Maybe something backstage or Susie shooting the show from the side of the stage. -- Spencer has important news to share, but he wants to wait. Jeff jokes that he's with child. -- Stranger Things' Finn Wolfha
  14. Such a fucking disappointment when you compare it to other bands. Plus, this looks like an extremely lazy effort. The Boston show, which I attended all 4 on that tour, has been available on DVD. They filmed nights 1 & 2. Nights 3 & 4 were amazing. Go figure! This time we get the audio for the show with no new bonus tracks because there’s about 4 songs that were omitted for the release way back in 2001/02. The rumors were that it would feature one of the NYC post 9/11 shows at MSG or something from the 3rd Leg of the Elevation Tour in the fall of 2001. Even the outtakes were releas
  15. Thanks for the info! I must have been typing out my notes when it showed Jeff with a guitar because I don't remember seeing him play during that song.

  17. The Tweedy Show Monday September 7 Episode 94 # intro on cell phone -- Jeff is in the bathroom for the first few moments of the show -- a client accuses Jeff of peeing on his hands which leads to Spencer telling a story about shaking Stephen Colbert's hands. -- Susie sends Spencer out to pick up some of the tiny acorns to show the clients. Jeff says that they are normal sized. When Your Dreams Come True (Kath Bloom & Loren Mazzacane Connors cover) Side With The Seeds -- Beyond Burger vs Impossible Burger Sun's A Star -- Jeff thinks Jolly Green Giant's little sidekick is named Niblet. A
  18. Yes!! I’d love to hear what the rest of Wilco can bring to it. Or it’d make a nice acoustic song for Jeff to sing by himself.

  20. I would expect one because there's a song Whisper being released tomorrow on that benefit cd. The personnel shows Jeff, Spencer & Jim Elkington. Of course, it's entirely possible that that song was just recorded for that benefit cd.
  21. The Tweedy Show Thursday September 3 Episode 92 # intro on cell phone -- Jeff shaved —Susie says that M.A.S.K. Academy was broken into and lots of items were stolen. There is a donation page on FB. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159192161032922&id=559387921 Hold Me Anyway (For Kathy) (w Spencer on hand slaps) -- Susie mentions Danny's idea about having one Wilco member calling in once a week. -- Jeff talks about his dad taking a long time barbecuing pork steak back in the day. Alone But Moving (Here We Go Magic cover sung & performed on guitar by Spencer) Woodgrain
  22. The title definitely grabbed my attention. Hmm. If I were to assume, I’d assume that the arrangement might be similar to Locator and not the lyrics. Or Jeff is a prophet. What’s the over/under on Viking Dan being a screen name for someone on here? Anyone else get a I Am Trying To Break Your Heart/Jesus, Etc. vibe from the Slow Rhodes version of Summer Teeth?
  23. It took a bit of time to absorb what we’re getting for demos & outtakes, so I made a list to help me sort it out. I placed Tried & True under Summer Teeth, since the lyrics are nearly identical. * = demo + = alternate take Can’t Stand It *+She’s A Jar Demo Alternate *A Shot In The Arm Demo ~We’re Just Friends We’re Just Friends/Yee Haw (Instrumental) (10/29/99 Minneapolis soundcheck) *+I’m Always In Love Demo Early Run Through *+Nothing’severgonnastandinmyway(Again) Demo Alternate +Pieholden Suite Alternate How To Fight Loneliness Via Chicago +ELT Alternate
  24. When Jeff mentioned that the show was from Boulder, I immediately ran to Setlist FM to look at the setlist and 3 songs were unknown. The news today finally made someone update the setlist at that site. Lol! The 3 unknown songs were: Candyfloss, Nothing’severgonnastandinmyway(Again) and Kingpin. Kinda strange. This is an amazing set!
  25. I just posted this in The Tweedy Show thread, but this news looks promising for a new Jeff Tweedy record: Jeff Tweedy’s Whisper will be released as part of Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy on September 4th on Bandcamp. https://goodmusic2020.bandcamp.com/track/whisper That’s the track info. I named that song “It’s A Whisper” when it appeared on The Tweedy Show on episodes 47 & 72.
