  1. Courtney Barnett’s set is up on the WFUV archives. Wilco’s set will be up shortly, according to them. https://www.wfuv.org/content/courtney-barnett-solid-sound-2019
  2. Amazing & gorgeous! They’ll sound even nicer in a theater this fall & beyond. Some clips are hitting the 2 Wilco FB groups. Not sure if you’re a member, but one is called Solid Sound 2019 and the other is A Shot In The Arm.
  3. The first new song was listed as Empty Corner on the setlist that’s going around the FB groups. And Ashes Of American Flags was listed as the first song for the encore. Another amazing night! Oh, btw, last night they had A Magazine Called Sunset on the setlist sandwiched between What Light & The Late Greats. I swear that I read somewhere that someone got picked to do that for the karaoke.
  4. Happy/Sad to report that I’m relaxing at my hotel in Pittsfield watching the Red Sox & Yankees in London and I see a notification from my Solid Sound App about new Wilco being presented in Genelec Surround Sound at B11 @ 2pm. Damn! You never know!
  5. Yeah, this does feel a lot like the 2011 Solid Sound with a new album on the horizon. I was at that one & I’m almost positive that I only have an audience recording of both of those shows. Most likely from you, so thanks for doing that! I don’t know an exact year for the start of the Road Cases. I’d say go for it. Too many variables might make them not get released or in their entirety. For instance, the karaoke portions. Maybe they have some release forms for the talent.
  6. Well, WFUV is broadcasting tonight’s Wilco set. Good question about the Road Case. That occurred to me on the drive over. If Wilco plays some new tunes on Sat night, will they be included in the Road Case. Or will they delay it, until after the new album has been released?
  7. Netflix has Paul Thomas Anderson’s short film called ANIMA featuring Thom Yorke & his most recent music. It runs about 15 minutes & has a Buster Keaton vibe to it.
  8. A few more tidbits from the interviews today: I think the band is going to be wearing deep blue jeans on Friday night. They wouldn’t reveal the significance of it, but it sounds like Nudie suits 2019. Either Pat or John talked about the company that makes them. My stream dropped during that part. Glenn just confirmed that there would be another Solid Sound in 2021. He also nonchalantly dropped that they recorded an album over the 18 month break. I mean, it was extremely quick. The station is now playing the album version of I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. Edit: ooh! This guy is grilling
  9. Jeff’s reply to whether or not there would be some surprises on Friday night during the karaoke set: “there might be some ringers”. I take that as special surprise musical guests filling in on lead vocals.
  10. http://player.listenlive.co/41641 93.9 The River, a radio station out of Northampton, MA, is having interviews with all of the band members starting at 3pm with Jeff. 3:30 Mikael 4 Pat & John 4:30 Nels 5 Glenn I think they might be playing the Being There live set mixed in with the interviews.
  11. Thanks! I’ll check it out once I get to my computer at home.
  12. I’m trying to sell a 3 Day Early Bird Pass and Lyte won’t let me right now. It keeps mentioning that there are more tickets available than demand. I paid $163.85 or best offer. I will try to figure out how to send it to you. Maybe you can make a demand via Lyte for a 3 day pass.
  13. I’m also trying to sell a 3 Day Early Bird Pass. No luck using Lyte. Not even sure how to transfer the tickets without them involved....
  14. I had a ticket for The National last night at Thompson’s Point in Maine, but they were getting slammed with torrential rain and lightning, so I passed. I’ll explain why. The FB event page was full of people begging them to either cancel, postpone or move the show over to the State Theater. Of course, at a certain point the Thompson Point FB event page had the comments locked for every thread about the show. I think even umbrellas were still not allowed into the venue. I didn’t want to risk getting there in terrible conditions and find out that they moved the show to a place that has les

Jeff talks about Solid Sound and recent recording sessions. Solid Sound: “something kind of fun for the first night that I’m not ready to talk about yet.” Jeff is calling in from the Loft, so entirely possible that this took place before the Wilco Karaoke announcement. “The second show, I think, maybe we’ll try and showcase a new song or two.” Wow! Recording sessions: “We’ve been getting together to do

  17. Xfinity is doing a free preview for Stingray Qello which has 1, 412 programs available to watch through this coming Sunday. Lots of stuff on here that I wish I could watch, before it runs out. Plenty of festival sets and PBS Soundstage shows too, amongst the typical concerts released on DVD. Wilco’s 2003 Soundstage is listed. A nice way to check out how some bands perform live. Easiest way to get to it is to use your voice remote or hit up On Demand and search under music. I don’t think the free preview extends to their app which is featured on Apple TV. You need to have the X1 platform
  18. Nels Cline & Julian Lage have been scheduled to replace Fishing.
  19. Jon Hamm & Glenn Kotche’s collaboration has been cancelled due to Hamm’s commitment to filming an Eastwood film in Atlanta. I’m curious to see what replaces them on Sunday afternoon. I think it was scheduled for an hour.
  20. I agree about John & Pat’s vocals being virtually non-existent. I definitely missed them on Whole Love. - Kamera’s intro sounded a bit muted. Not sure if this was also a result of the audio mix. - How fucking sweet was it to hear Sky Blue Sky again? I wish they’d bring back I Might. - Loved Bull Black Nova being followed by Not For The Season. Excellent guitar work & a bit different than the last time they were played. - How To Fight Loneliness was sublime and I’m hoping that this one sticks around through the fall U.S. run - I’m Always In Love sounds like the way that Jeff wanted i
  21. I use a free YouTube to mp3 site, but I think there’s a 2 hour limit. Guess I’ll have to play it in my car via Bluetooth.
  22. I can hear the crowd now. I haven’t figured out how to copy & paste YouTube links after I just updated my iOS, but it should be easy to find.
  23. That’s a great live album. I think I’ve listened to Xmas shows in London from 72 & 73. I seem to recall watching one off of YouTube. Must be the one that you’re talking about.
