Your avatar worked with an actor who worked with this actor in a different movie (edit part deux: this movie is on tv right now), but same year. (Edit: Technically it's not the year of wide release for the above mentioned film, but the limited release which was the year prior.)

Nope. You are in the right part of the decade though. And closer in the alphabet.

Has anyone ever thought that Matthew Berninger looks like this character actor? His name is Elya Baskin.

A video of smoking toddler is sparking outrage on the web. Popular blog Gawker linked to the smoking baby video, calling him "totally cooler

A very special free gift to the person to identify the movie this quote comes from without using Google.

Maybe they are in fact The New Pornographers. On the flip side you have over eager parents to drop their kids off at a movie and as long as it doesn't have any sex in it then that's what they'll see. Regardless of an astronomically high body count. It's quite funny because most kids take that as entertainment and will seek out boobies on the net. That reminds me of a Facebook status update that drove me bonkers. My friend posted about the Celtics losing to Cleveland. Then this friend of his that I don't know said "F%^^& LeBron!". Then this woman immediately replied "Please watch your

I understand and agree with what you write. But when I see someone who I know nothing about (especially if they don't use their screen name to indicate a favorite band etc.) I know nothing about their tastes and furthermore how they feel about each artist's albums. So by writing that you weren't impressed by the Broken Bells record (which is a really good example, I think) it leaves me in the dark with what your message means. Are you a casual fan of The Shins? Are you a diehard? Have you liked and/or been impressed by all their records and which ones were you not impressed with/didn't like an

Right here. Now I can assume that you are using "those words" because of the particular band that we are talking about. Kind of comparing this song to maybe their past 2 records. I get this. But I choose not to use the past as a measuring stick, no matter how tough it is. But when you used "those words" to describe the Broken Bells record (I presume) it confused me because I didn't know whether you were holding it up against anything that The Shins have done or just not what you were expecting from those in this new band. It's a very vague and dismissive way of criticizing something

Thanks for the response. I think that that boils down to Jacob's "Rules". He must've come to the realization that his actual mother came to the Island pregnant and was murdered while he was 1 minute old. So in an act of rage he decided that no woman shall ever give birth again. It seems a little bit out there, but anything can be true. Also, it could be due to the electromagnetism. (Edit: Or if this place is a type of purgatory, it wouldn't make too much sense to give birth. Although, we do see Claire give birth in the "Afterworld".) Walt was told that he was special much like John Locke

I can agree with your viewpoint. But I found it funny that you picked out my satirical question to answer to. I really would like to know about your reading.
-
I'll present you with another question scenario: I see that you're quite the reader. Probably like I watch films. Does a book upset you when they lead you down a certain path and leave you with more answers? Would you go back and read it to seek for answers? Is it tougher to do this on a book than a film? A different question: do you enjoy books that are vague yet fantastic. What about pop songs? Aren't the best pop songs the ones that aren't specific but vague enough to create the feeling of a universal theme such as heartbreak? You don't hear anyone crying to Sting (sorry) about who this

Well, I like to think of Lost as something like religion and well I'll stop there. Sure, there's the Bible, but what you choose to believe in it is up to you and what they choose to include in it is up to "them". Everything they left out makes us wonder even more. I'm talking about the Bible here. Are you calling God a cop out?

Well, to answer with a basic knowledge of Eastern religions I think that with each rebirth and the next death there is a place in between known as the Bardo (Buddhism) where within that there are different stages. I think in Buddhism they believe that with each rebirth there is a completely new dynamic soul as opposed to Hinduism and Christianity who believe that the soul is eternal. So by kind of fusing all religions they create this "world" where these "enlightenments" occur to bring them to the next level of existence. So if you want to call the "Afterworld/Sideways" world a place of reb

One Singular Sensation?: Could the "afterworld" have been really all in Jack's mind on his journey to the next "plane"? It began with him. It ended with him. But so did the show. All season this world was multicentric and included people that Jack would not have known about. So it is possible like Christian said that they created this world together. And when we see Jack's revelation about his situation it is similar to what we "see" when we see the flashes that the characters have. They know that it is time to "move on". Jack The Savior (Another Interpretation On The Above): It really is s

I really wish I could project my thoughts onto a type writer then have them show up. Or I should make notes. Hurley created the "afterworld": My best friend Vin thought this because he was the one to make up the rules now that Jacob & Jack had died. This didn't cross my mind because I thought that we were seeing a singular perception (Jack's) in the end even though it was quite collective all season. (more on that in a bit). Hurley seems like the good natured type to be able to reunite everyone, since Ben's last conversation with Hurley (on Island) was about returning Desmond back home.

I loved and felt completely satisfied with the series finale. It was the perfect ending. I waited a bit to come on here and write up something because I hate having all of these thoughts in my head and then trying to have them spill out in here in some logical fashion. Also, I don't feel like defending my views or making anyone feel bad. This may get a bit long, so I'll break it up by titling each section. The Day Of: I had a complete sense of calm over me. I knew that the end had come and wasn't really too sad about it because I own all of the dvds and in actuality for me the show isn't

I guess my mind started spinning last week because of the "postponement" of only 1 show. As if U2 would ever tag on a show at the end of this summer tour or better yet come back in the fall solely for one makeup gig. I am just surprised that they didn't postpone everything in one fell swoop at the beginning instead of making it appear as if they were just postponing one show with this horrible injury and then everyone else's shows would be fine.
-
I hate to say it, but this all seems like U2 is pulling a fast one on everyone by canceling their shows in North America only which ran through mid July. Take a look and they are doing a European tour from early August to October. That's not cancelled yet? Guaranteed when they reschedule in 2011 they will add a Boston date and many others that they couldn't do now in June/July of 2010. It was too soon and there wasn't really a market for it yet. Yeah they are playing Chicago, Toronto and NJ again, but who knows if that's sold out. But if they add more shows for places they already played in 2

Definitely NSFW...this guy gives Bill O'Reilly a run for his money...Winnebago Man Edit: So I'm looking around my movie sites for some movie news and I came across this same man and he's having a documentary made about him and this same video. It's an examination of him and the viral video phenomenon. Winnebago Man The Documentary
