Florida mom has 5 year old son "arrested" in public FORT MYERS, Fla -- A Fort Myers mother is under fire for the way she disciplined her 5-year-old son in public. She is calling it tough love but some people who witnessed it were moved to tears, calling it way too harsh for a child that young. The woman had her son arrested outside a 7-11 store in Lehigh Acres to teach him a lesson about the dangers of playing with matches and lighters. With some of the people that I know it seems that they drink regularly because it is habitual, out of depression and usually in packs amongst other people. Of course, the great irony to me is that they are depressed of their current situation (job/personal life & decisions), but fail to see the downward spiral of drinking and choose to see it as more of a celebratory thing to do. This situation reminds me of the book titled The Perfect Game: based on a true story about 9 Mexican kids who go to the United States and get criticized until they beat the very best American little league baseball team in 1957, and have the only perfect game in championship history. I watched the intro on the youtube clip and I found it interesting that Craig mentioned the Solid Sound Festival when apparently One Wing was shot way back in January.
