  1. Jeff played Gun at the solo show that he did in Northampton, MA in Nov 2005 (because all of Wilco has a love affair with MA). I am pretty sure that Three Dollars And Sixty Three Cents on this board yelled out for that and Jeff heard it because we were sitting in the 2nd row.
  2. I think a better question that you should be asking is what are the similarities between Libby & Charlie (from last week's episode)? They're both dead in the Original Timeline. It's possible that because of this their consciousness from that timeline has seeped into their Flash Sideways' minds. (edit:) Now with that in mind, it does lend some light to Desmond's actions toward Locke in the Flash Sideways. Maybe if John Locke passes onto the Island in the sun, MIB will need to find some new real estate.
  3. Cinematical News Link Like many of us, Stanley Kubrick was something of a pack rat, and not overly fond of organization. So it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that, amid the reportedly chaotic hodge-podge of the director's effects, undiscovered treasures are buried. One such treasure: a single copy of a film treatment titled Lunatic at Large, written in the late 1950's by the briliiant pulp author Jim Thompson at Kubrick's behest. And now that film is finally being produced, with Production Weekly reporting that Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson are attached. As reported in the
  4. It looks like Keith Urban on Tuesday. And Sheryl Crow on Wednesday.
  5. I loved the closing juxtaposition of MIB/Desmond & Desmond/Locke in the Flash Sideways. It makes me wonder if Flash Sideways Desmond thinks that Locke is actually the MIB and not actually John Locke. Talk about mistaken identity! Unless, if he needs to kill the Flash Sideways Locke, so that the Original Locke can come back at the end of the series. But that doesn't make sense either. It seems like he's ruining it for the MIB. (edit: Perhaps If there's no Flash Sideways Locke to convince to come back to the Island, then the MIB needs to find someone similar to him to find "The Loophole".)
  6. HOLY SHIT This Sounds Amazing! (edit: Definitely the best webcast that I've heard. Ironic, since I was at this and Concord.) WOW! (now the wait for Concord ) A great memento of this amazing show that I was fortunate enough to have seen, heard and experienced.
  7. 3-29 I got it off of bttree, since I don't have access to Dime A Dozen. Info: Wilco March 29, 2010 The National Richmond, VA **16 bit source** Source: B&K4022(ortf) > Sonosax > 744T Location: corner of sbd cage, slight loc/fob Transfer: 744T>soundforge 7.0 (fades)>cd wave>wavelab (resampling/UV22)>flac Taped & transferred by: Craig Davis I can't find this link on the VC forum. It's not the same as the thread for this specific show in In A Future Age. Edit: The link is actually in the After The Show thread. CBD's LINK CBD is Craig Davis and he has Ric Fla
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPN18GBk7AU Dr. Manhattan has the ability to see & experience the past, present, & future simultaneously which makes what he does in the overall storyline interesting because he lets certain people act a certain way with his knowledge. So is he preventing or creating the future when he decides to do something or do nothing. Although, in the story he actually doesn't do anything which makes his character indifferent to humanity.
  9. I respectfully disagree with your opinions. I am more than satisfied with all of the recordings that I downloaded. There wasn't one show where I was like "Shit, I need to get a different recording than this shitty one." If I were to pick one that made me pray to Baby Jesus, it would be the 04-02 one from NYC Taper. What I Downloaded: 3-22 3-23 3-27 3-29 4-02 4-06 (& Webcast) For the purpose of comparative analysis: There were a few shows from the Minor League Ballpark Tour that sounded distant and tinny and/or metallic sounding.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wQYdmqK6Tk I can't help but think of this song for the obvious reasons.
  11. It's actually on the Hate It Here track and it comes on before it. It's just not listed for whatever reason. If you notice the track is a bit over 8 minutes long.
  12. The recent resurgence of 3D movies. At least have the decency to shoot them in 3D and not 2D 35 mm because the transfer looks like muddied crap. Everything that is being greenlit nowadays is getting the 3D treatment. I understand the economic logistics of this: a few extra bucks (between $3-$5) for "surcharges" - which aren't rental fees for 3D glasses as most people think. I'm holding out for the rerelease of Howard's End in 3D. Speaking of 3D glasses and movies, there is now this upsetting, yet extremely classic funny trend going on at your local movie theaters. People are sneaking
  13. I looked up butter on muffins for a Google image and I came across the Urban Dictionary definition. LOL
  14. People who put butter on muffins. Really?! Do we need Mr. Roger's Neighborhood to show people how muffins are made and they don't really need any or extra butter for that matter? I'm going to start putting butter on my cookies to get my point across in public. Guaranteed someone will think that is gross.
  15. Yep. C.C. no hitter for 7 & 2/3.
  16. Oops. I should have used a "?" after Don't believe me. Setlist actually came via a friend of mine at the show.
  17. Hey, My dad just got this through his friend. He won't say where this came from, so I'm not sure if there's FLAC files out there. I know that there's some early 70s Elton fans on here. I know that there's a handful of well circulated boots from this era. Most notably the 73 & 74 Xmas shows from London and the 71 Tokyo show. Here comes another one. This show is heavy with stuff from the recently released Honky Chateu. Anyways, this show is from October 20, 1972 at Seattle Center Coliseum. Elton plays 3 "new" songs from Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player. It would be released 3
  18. I find it funny that I posted the actual setlist here last night at 12:45 and then it was posted again at 10:45. "Is everyone taking crazy pills?!"

  20. Via my recently acquired ESP. Don't believe me. I guessed what restaurant my mother wanted to go back to at some point. Set list Wilco the Song I Am Trying to Break Your Heart Ashes of American Flags Bull Black Nova You Are My Face One Wing A Shot in the Arm One by One Either Way Handshake Drugs Deeper Down Impossible Germany California Stars Poor Places Spiders (Kidsmoke) Sky Blue Sky That's Not the Issue You and I Forget the Flowers Sunken Treasure War on War Passenger Side Airline to Heaven Via Chicago Box Full of Letters I'm Always in Love A Magazine Called Sunset Jesus, etc. You Never
  21. There is a man know simply as bbop who posts the complete and accurate setlist for every Wilco show. Once you see his name at the bottom, hang on tight. Welcome to the board.
  22. Tonsil stones. I just had one about a month ago. I thought it was food stuck in there. Nope. I coughed it out and it stank like shit. Just like they say on the net. Never had this before. It's a pet peeve because there's really nothing you can do to prevent them from coming.
