  1. (light bulb moment) How come you never get ketchup packets any more from places like Wendy's when you do drive thru?!!!! (I understand that I have ketchup at home, but I like to eat my food in my car in their parking lot. I can use my sudden knowledge of what comes in their bag to put my ketchup into such as several napkins or the burger wrapper or the lid of my soft drink. I'm that capable of doing such things in today's speedy environment. I also sneakily use sweet n sour sauce for dipping needs.) Am I being discriminated against because I'm not actually going into their restaurant? There
  2. They are all over MA & NH. Honestly I'm not sitting here in the 80s. I wish that I was though. Things could have been different.
  3. How about friends of yours that have a hard time trying to even listen to or watch something that you really recommend? It's almost like they're acting childish because they want to have the feeling that they "discovered" it before you, so they won't watch it to spite you. A friend of mine LOVED Seinfeld and he would never watch Curb Your Enthusiasm. He finally started watching out of the blue a few months ago and now he loves it.
  4. Yes! And people who talk on cell phones while they're running any type of errand. The worst are people in line to buy something and they keep chatting away and asking their friend on the phone "what should I get?" Coming in a close 2nd are people who try and use their cell phones on the subway. What fucking type of phone do you think you actually have? You're not MacGyver!
  5. My Communication degree allows me to talk to anyone. Mostly looking for a job. The majority of Pizza Huts & Papa Gino's have the old fashioned modern cd juke boxes.
  6. I live in 2010, Sexual Napalm! Haven't you seen those new computer jukeboxes that have the cd art? They're still jukeboxes at heart. You can find pretty much any song through the database. Hey, at least I didn't say cigarette dispenser.
  7. People not washing their hands after using the restroom. Since I'm a guy I can speak from visual experience. I don't want to be shaking your hands if you had them on your penis and you didn't even stop to use soap and water for under a minute. Not to mention where those hands will be for the rest of the night: a bag of chips, holding a glass, touching someone, pushing buttons on a jukebox, giving someone a wet willy (pun intended). Guys taking a dump and not washing your hands is in another level of miscreants in my book.
  8. Yeah. Sure why not? People talk. It is kind of flirting in a way if it's done in that certain way. Yeah if you take into account proximity, vocal inflection, eye contact, context, and body language. My point is that you can easily make small talk by having it come across as small talk and not flirting. Some people will get this and some people will still think that you're hitting on them.
  9. That was only an example. My point was asking a question or mainly making conversation and having a response like the one that I mentioned.
  10. My biggest pet peeve is people using the word "impressed" as a response to anything. I just don't like how it sounds in response to anything. Take someone of the opposite sex: Saying they don't impress you sounds kind of arrogant and pompous. It even sounds stranger if they do impress you. Like they're part of the Westminster Dog Show. Take a movie: I wasn't impressed by (.....) Why can't you just say "I didn't like it."? Take a band: I wasn't impressed by (....) See above Maybe it's ok when it comes to a restaurant because you need food to survive and if it isn't that great then "impressed"
  11. Yes. I think I stumbled onto the actual link. Front Gate Link
  12. I wonder if this is all a front for some big Ocean's 11 type of robbery of the MOCA? I've been to North Adams once and I will say this BE CAREFUL OF THE HAIRPIN TURN on Route 2!!!!! Luckily, I went there during a random day trip and it was still scary. I can imagine driving around late at night and then driving off the mountain a la Thelma & Louise. It comes up that close. People should stay in nearby Florida, MA. Really confuse people with your plans that way. "Where you going for the weekend, Phillip?" "Uh...I'm heading to Florida..." "Good...good for you." I will try to get to
  13. That guy was to the right of me/us. He was actually yelling Shake It Off and I think he's on this thread on page 1. LOL. Even Jeff is shrugging off that request as a "Take Off Your Clothes" diversion tactic.
  14. RE: Acts: I'd say that there's a good chance that Grace Potter & The Nocturnals play this. Since they were sitting in the row in front of me last night in Concord, NH and presumably heading backstage after the show.
  15. Nope. Well, the little dude in the pic above had longer hair and a beard. The little dude is the curve ball. I think he isn't in the band. He's just a sad sack who looked like Charlie Brown - upset to be there. Maybe he wasn't feeling well, since Grace (?) was rubbing his back. They also kept leaving and coming back. I wonder if they were going backstage or sitting around the very lovely lobby.
  16. Yep, I had the aisle seat 101 and my friend had seat 102. You know it didn't even occur to me when I sat there to ask if that was you because the show started a bit earlier. I'm thinking that the Stillwater looking folks were actually Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. I don't really know what they looked like until I just googled them and it's pretty damn close. If it is her then that Grace Potter is a very attractive woman indeed.
  17. I hope that this wasn't me, since I seem to remember that we were supposed to be in the same row. I know that there was a guy behind me who was standing like me and his poor girlfriend/wife sat most of the show. Were you in Row R? I had the aisle seat facing Pat. I think I sat right near you. Some guy within earshot kept screaming out for Shake It Off. I would have loved to hear it too, but I think only Glenn likes playing it. Beautiful venue. The AC was cranking folks. The floor of the venue was almost perfectly sized. The seats were spread out enough and the sound was amazing.
  18. My original words: Pot Smoke Pot: There were definitely about (no lie) 10 people that lit up around me during the show and no one came over. Nobody even went over to complain about people smoking? Oh well. No big deal. The security was very lax and old (laxative ?) Out of respect to you I didn't expect to wake up to see a response to something that I posted. Isn't smoking anything pretty much illegal in all enclosed establishments in MA & even NH too? It wasn't a pot issue, but rather people smoking when that's pretty much a no no. I imagine if people saw them light up would t
  19. I think that it is due to the fact that the robot is basing the pronunciation on the phonetics of Tweedy. Twee- Dy (sounds like Die/Dye right?) So yeah it does kind of sound like Twee-Die. Maybe if they told the robot that his name is TweeDee or (Sweet Dee). My thoughts on the matter.
  20. I jumped ship. Jeff did say that this was the best crowd for this particular tour. Word of advice: Stay hydrated during these shows. Eat well. You don't really want to miss anything. Actually, my bath room break occurred during Jesus, Etc. And I do have to say that standing for the whole show really didn't bother me as much as I thought that it would. (and I was expecting to relax during the acoustic portion along with everyone else, but nope everyone literally stood. It was quite a sight to see. People were there for Wilco.) Pot Smoke Pot: There were definitely about (no lie) 10 p
  21. I use Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball. I'm already in a fantasy league, so I can see player's stats during games in progress. I'm not entirely sure if you can if you are not signed up with a team.
  22. Definitely always a pleasure to see live, since they actually rehearse album cuts that they will play along with a few certain radio staples.
  23. Hey, My friend that I went and got a ticket for hasn't gotten back to me in a week. So I assume that he doesn't want to go or forgot. I'm willing to sell the ticket here for $35.00 (hard giant ticket) I do have PayPal. Section: ORCHESTRA CENTER Row: M Seat 206 My best friend is going to be given this ticket tonight, so if anyone wants to meet him sometime tomorrow (post 4p.m.) in/around Orpheum (he lives in The North End) let me know through a PM & I'll tell him. I'm coming in from NH & I'm not sure when I'll get there. My other friend hasn't contacted me yet with those detail
  24. Thanks! Actually, I'm celebrating Greek Easter as well. 1st time in a long time that it falls on the same day.
