soooo... again... anyone know?
Sorry.....clueless.
-
one boob higher than the other?
Like I said, men's work to determine such things...
-
Or it could be code for "crooked rack". (I wouldn't know, having never examined closely....that's men's work)
-
does anyone have monkey mess? i've never seen an mp3 of it.
Monkey Mess is on the Wiggleworm Dads shows
That sounds fantastic! The best I got is the time Dan Zanes came and played at the childcare center my kids go to. Which was cool b/c he's like a rockstar to 5 yr olds, but (sorry, Dan) I would have preferred Tweedy and Langford.napoleon & quarter23cd, drop me a pm and I'll get you copies of Wiggleworm Dads. All I ask is that you share them along to another VC'er or two.

Those are such fun shows! A friend of mine was lucky enough to have attended & described little kids.....toddlers.....running around, parents chasing..... ....while the music played on...it sounded like a bit of happy chaos!

Someone owes me some printer ink!
In the mail. Watch for the leaky package.

Yeah, I think that's correct. It's also listed on WilcoBase as '99.Doh! So now I have to change my whole life!
Oops, I got myself all confused there....I thought I was agreeing with you, Aman, but I got it backwards. Shoot, this means my cover art is inaccurate. There is, in fact, no Wilco or Jeff Tweedy show on 10-19-1998.
Everybody hold off on using that cover art until I get it corrected. I'll get that fixed tonight. Worlds collide when cover art is inaccurate, you know. I'm probably messing with the Space-Time continuum.

Much love to a ray of sunshine from the great state of Kansas.....all hail the Fluffy Cloudy one!
Somebody deserves cake.
Chocolate Cloud Cake, to be specific.
We love you, Melissa, even if you did call us odd. I guess we can't fault you for accuracy.
Cheers! Have a great day & a great year!

That how I got it and that is how it is marked on the cover art.
Yeah, I think that's correct. It's also listed on WilcoBase as '99.

C'mon, let it go or at least take it off the forums. We don't need namecalling or personal attacks over something this inane.

I don't see any harm in bikedewd having asked, at the one-week mark, whether the show had emerged.....we've all had our impatient moments with shows we loved and wanted to re-hear. I appreciate that he did wait before asking.
No need for anybody to get antagonistic here.....live & let live, and let's try to remember that it's hard to judge anyone's tone from smilies and the printed word. One of the critical flaws of communicating as an internet community.
I think we can all agree that we hope a recording turns up soon. Now, can't we all just get along?
-
Since I'm new should this lead me to believe that no one taped this show?
Thanks
It's early yet, so I wouldn't assume that. It may just take awhile to emerge.....sometimes there are problems the taper needs to correct, and sometimes the tapers just get busy with their lives. I'm hoping along with you.

havent seen the artwork.. could you post it?
I'll get it put up at WilcoBase. Turns out it only needs a tiny bit of work.

rbally.net used to have "I Wanna Be Sedated" from Being There Tour, but it is has ended for the second tiime now. But I heard it once and it was really sweet especially when Tweedy yelled "Ha" at the fan of the song.
I'd have to listen again, don't remember Tweedy's "Ha".....been awhile since I've heard this collection....but "I Wanna Be Sedated" is on Someone Else's Songs & it's great.
-
actually, i got mixed up with Dylan. indeed it is the Someone else's songs set that i was talking about!
Dylan who?
Froggie, did you ever get the cover art I made for that? I keep meaning to do some final touch-ups to that (it's only made in slim case form right now) and then give it to WilcoBase to put up. It's Jeff, as someone else.
...in disguise.

There's also the terrific collection our own Pneyu put together back in late 2002, called "Someone Else's Songs - The Covers Project".
I'll treat you to a copy if you will share it along to someone else on the board. (Get it? Someone Else's Songs! )

Thank you, all you sweet people, but really I just wanted to throw some appreciation Maddie's way, because I think that was such a very cool & thoughtful thing for her to have done for me. It was the very first time she'd gotten to talk to Jeff after a show, and she spent part of that time just trying to make a friend happy. Neato.
There should be more people like her in the world.....and thank you also to Jeff and Scott for the well-wishes and for going along with Maddie's little plot!
She even mailed from Birmingham before she left...the envelope bears the Birmingham postmark.

Forgive me, Mende, I knew what you meant. I'm just in a bit of a smartass mood.

congrats donna!. its not us 'geeks' online here that wish you a happy birthday!
You don't?

Ok, so I got some very nice cards for my birthday last week, but today I received a belated one that would be hard to top. It's a gorgeous shimmery green and silver card. The front shows a tall birthday cake & the word "Celebrate!"
But the inside is best. On my birthday, January 27th, Scott McCaughey (opening as "The Minus 2") and Jeff Tweedy played a show at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, AL. It seems a certain beloved pal of mine named Bonnie (known to you all as Maddie Hope) snagged the guys following the show, and gave them the card to sign! So I've got warm birthday wishes from two of my very favorite musicians....."with love from Birminghey", as Scott wrote.
Too cool. Bonnie, you've outdone yourself! What a great memento of this birthday!
It hurts a bit less, getting older.
