  1. She's such a beauty, and is probably Wilco's most ardent feline fan!
  2. Pedro had me laughing and then crying off and on the entire show last night!
  3. I'm sure your one-sleeve sweater is just lovely! Photos?
  4. It's harder than you think it's going to be, isn't it?! And really folks, you have to include ITMWLY. Trying to sequence this oddball collection would also be interesting...you'd need a powerhouse opening song, a good closing song, and reasonable pacing amongst the rockers and the ballads. Love the love for Secret of the Sea!
  5. I was musing about how a future KTEL type marketer might package a Wilco "Best of" album, and wondered what songs I'd choose if I had to choose just one song from each of their official releases...one song from each album. Some picks are (almost) obvious, because Good God how could a "The Best of Wilco" by Ronco not include I'm the Man Who Loves You? (Though it kills me to eliminate others from that album!) So, be brave, let's see what you'd compile if this were handed to you as a work assignment. One song, each official album released. Mermaid Avenue included. Wh
  6. Eric, I've never seen this, but this scene makes me want to!
  7. Happy Easter Jon! Happy Easter everybody!
  8. What's the backstory? Sounds interesting!
  9. I love O'bama, and her refined musical tastes! Rock on, kitty. Rock on. Can we get a photo? I miss seeing her.
  10. Ooh, Lemon Bloobs Bread! Of course you get points, for your use of Sammy Tweedy terminology! As long as you send me this recipe, because I have both lemons and bloobs growing! Send that poppy side with the seeds one too!
  11. You can come make dinner at my house any time! Also: Bonus points awarded for your casserole name. Save up those points!
  12. I know we have some amazing cooks among the membership! What have you made lately that you're justifiably proud of? Bonus points if you manage to assign your dish a Wilco-related title. Share something enticing and I'll tell you how to make the BEST "Red Eyed and Red Onions" pickled red onions.
  13. Ha, sometimes that's ideal. Sounds fun.
  14. That sounds like absolute heaven.

    Wanderlust

So who else has been vicariously traversing the continent with the Tweedys? I watch the Tweedy Show bus shows and I wind up mentally planning a trip route and scheming on roadtrip snacks. (Blueberries! Hot Funyuns!) It has made me realize how much I want to go out to some slightly far away place....just something fresh to my eyes. Bryce Canyon or the CA midcoast? I hadn't really felt hemmed in, too badly anyway, but seeing them travel has been a nice vicarious tagalong for me, mentally. Makes me long to be safe to do that again in real life. Soon. We will have much more appreciation of it, to
  16. Agreed...I fell hard for this song!
  17. Seriously, once you feel safe, what is it you're longing to do? I am now fully vaccinated, plus the 2-week waiting time to reach "full" immunity of 94-95%. I'm feeling pretty safe but with reservations...I've gotten pretty good at being a hermit, and I am aghast at my fellow citizens who have been so cavalier about the virus & masking & distancing & basic science sanity, that I guess I've gone a bit feral. I truly distrust a lot of the folks I was previously pretty trusting towards. And even when my also-now-fully-vaccinated daughter came by last night to visit and take some p
  18. I know, isn't it beautiful? And it works well.
  19. You're having a good week, Mike, between getting the shot and Sunni's citizenship! Congratulations! The first shot shouldn't give you much reaction but plan to take it easy for a couple days when you get your 2nd.
  20. That's definitely the path of least resistance. Feel better fast.
  21. I laugh every time I watch this. My favorites are the fast fades past the hallway door. Pretty slick, Sammy!
  22. I'm glad you're finally getting in. Distribution has been a nightmare almost everywhere! The first shot is generally mild without a lot of aftereffects...mostly just soreness at the injection site. Good luck! Take a photo to share with us!
  23. That's a terrific shirt! I'm glad you've gotten your first shot. I didn't have any reaction to the first other than a slightly sore arm. (Pfizer) Hope it's the same for you.
