  1. This is fabulous and I can appreciate all the time you've put into it! Thank you, and Kristofor and Monty, for all your time and work. Send me a pm with the details of your request, and I'll be glad to pass it along!
  2. It was all about friends who surprise one with handmade beer glasses, and the beer within, and not feeling like doing anything harder than playing my turns on Words With Friends. A pretty amazing song, lyrically, and the soaring melody is pure magic, but since it requires the vocal range of an Yma Sumac to sing properly, we'll probably never hear it. I can't even sing it.
  3. I think I'll go with "Reservations". What say you? Which song hits you right in your romantic heart?
  4. Great list, but when you say Chris for President, I hope you don't mean Christie. And there is at least one other "Day of the week" possibility that I know of, maybe more?
  5. This has been floating around on fb as a generic for any rock song, but it is more fun to try with a specific band with enough output...so yeah, this one! Try this! It's entertaining as hell and also a great revisiting of Wilco songs in your mind. There are a lot of interesting answers even to those that seem obvious, or unlikely....try it. I've filled in my own answers, but you do yours! Answer Each Category With a Wilco Song... Something to Wear... (one wing) A Place... (an empty corner) An Animal... (hummingbird) A Number... (the lon
  6. Just me, a good book, and this handsome beverage in a custom-made birthday gift glass, from a dear Tweedy sibling. A chance to relax for a change. It was a long week. How's your weekend looking?
  7. I have to agree. It's wild to realize some of the names not already honored. Like this one! How is Devo not yet inducted? Nice to see the New York Dolls on the list.
  8. I love The Tweedy Show, and try to catch it, but for me (West Coast) it's on at 7 p.m., and I'm always in full swing of my day at that hour, so I forget! I usually remember in time to catch at least part, which always makes me go back and watch the rest later. They are such balm for the soul, and have been throughout this rough past year. I know the show can't go on forever, but I feel such love for the cast of characters that I'm already proactively mourning its demise, and feeling nostalgic for this bold experiment in modern entertainment! All of which is just to echo the popular sentim
  9. Yikes. I hope the pace of vaccine distribution picks up, and you don't have to wait that long! Uncool, glad you are started on the vaccinations. I got my shot the day after you did. I hear you on that sense of guilt! I want everyone around me to have quick access to a vaccination. It's horrible worrying about virtually everyone you know! Last week I lost 2 members of my stepfamily to covid. 😥 It was scary how fast it took them. Keep being incredibly careful out there.
  10. So good to see you Basil! Nice list! I'll always have a soft spot for Laura V. because we saw her once, opening for someone, and ran into her after the show. She was so gracious, and took the time to stoop down and really talk with my then-7 or 8 year old daughter. Classy. That's a solid list but I have to question your inclusion of David Gates. 😄
  11. I got my 1st dose a week ago...just got lucky and snagged a "leftover" dose after senior care facilities had all been served that day. In 2 weeks I'll get my second. According to the statistics I'm seeing, that means that by about March 10th I should have reached that 95% magical immunity number. It's exhilarating to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel! Almost exactly a year to the day since I put myself in quarantine on 3/6/20. What a year that has proven to be! Best of all, at that point I may even feel safe enough to visit a hairdresser! I'm too old to be playing at
  12. What a fun interview! Jeff has shapely legs. Also his hair looks rockstar perfect! Thanks for sharing this.
  13. I just wondered if you were a pecan pie hater and therefore prejudiced toward the song. And now I'm craving both pecan and pumpkin pie. I actually have a recipe that combines them!
  14. Hi Dan! So good to see you! 😊 Your music sounds wonderful! Best of luck!
  15. Thanks for the clarification! I had also understood it as u2roolz did.
  16. I love your spreadsheet! Thanks.
  17. Omigosh how are we all forgetting "California Stars", with all its grapes on vines, and friendly wine! Although that's actually a Guthrie lyric I guess. Chez, I have to ask, do you like pecan pie? The pie, not the song. Calvino, your dog cracks me up! Don't let him eat the green tomatoes in your garden, they have a substance that's harmful to dogs. The ripe ones are safe though. I loved your steak story. What a snooty fool of a waiter. Good for your wife, but sorry the mood carried over into the show! I hope the music gradually lifted her spirits. Sid, I do hope Jeff reads yo
  18. I've been thinking lately about the primal passions that drive my favorite songs...surprisingly, it's not entirely lust! For example, how often does simple hunger drive a yearning lyric? Anyway it's my theory that Jeff was hungry like the wolf during the recording of " Love is the King". So we get delicious lyrics like: "Oh, tomatoes right off the vine We used to eat them like that All the time" And, "A pie left out that you can't consume So sweet, You cannot eat.." And, "Sun coming up, like a piece of toast" I don
