"Bull Black Nova" minus the bits about blood and trunks. -
I haven't posted here in a while (maybe as long as 15 years), but I check in from time to time. Glad to see that the Grateful Dead thread is still going. When the lockdowns first started, I decided to listen to the Europe '72: Complete Recordings in it's entirety. I've diverged several times and repeated several shows on the way, but I just finished the Rotterdam show from May 11th. From my memory of tape trading days, this show was the pinnacle of the tour. I still have 7 shows to go and I'm amazed how consistent they were on this tour. Aside from all the Mr. Charlie's, I have no complaints so far. I've listened to most of these shows over time, but never sequentially. There really is nothing else like a Grateful Dead show.

I'm a bit bummed because we had 5th row, center seats for the Murat date, but this is the right message at the right time. Giving us another Cincy date would certainly advance that message, as well (wink, wink, nudge nudge).

I had tickets for the Dayton show and was majorly bummed when I heard the news. A buddy's band was opening a string of the shows that were canceled. At least they got to play the Grand Rapids show.

Both shows were great. I think they rocked harder in Columbus, but they jammed harder tonight. Loved hearing the pre-Kraut Spiders. -

I'm not quite certain that there are any flawless rock albums out there, but here are a handful of my favorites: Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited The Beatles - Abbey Road Guided By Voices - Alien Lanes The Stooges - Fun House Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings And Food The Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead Stevie Wonder - Innervisions

Awesome photos! Jason (drummer) and Steve (guitarist/"Fleetwood Mac" guy) are friends of mine. Wish I could have been back at Canal Street for this gig.
