  1. Although it is true that American Dad is the opposite of funny.
  2. It was entertaining. I hope that's not the whole thing though. I was hoping for a bigger part of the plot than just showing up out of nowhere and parodying one of their videos for a couple minutes.
  3. I think that was the most fun I've ever had watching a Michigan game on TV.
  4. Wow, the Tigers bats sure woke up tonight. I sure wish they would spread it out over a few games instead though. Still, a badly needed win, especially since it looks like the Twins are going to lose tonight.
  5. Good thing that this thread is all substance.
  6. The Tigers started their slide before they got Neifi, and it's only gotten worse since then. Batting him leadoff is just ridiculous. Having him in the lineup at all is stupid (Omar Infante, while not great, is a whole lot better), but maximizing his plate appearances is the most backwards thinking I can think of. That being said, if the Tigers hold on to their playoff spot, Leyland is still going to win Manager of the Year anyway. I hate Neifi.
  7. Yeah, the Tigers released him in April, and he spent most of the season playing AAA ball in the Yankees system. He became a free agent and signed with the Red Sox in August. I just dug around to see if I could find that old scoreboard picture of him, because, well, if I posted it, then I'd be back on topic here. No such luck though.
  8. I looooooove the EP version. But I can't imagine how it would have fit onto AGIB.
  9. Actually, he's playing for the Red Sox. My friends and I used to always mock the picture of Carlos Pena that went up on the big screen at Comerica when he came to bat. It looked like he was trying to seduce the camera.
  10. They won't though. His weakness is his inability to stay healthy. He's an excellent hitter.
  11. austrya, I can tell from those pics that you are a great parent. Nice work.
  12. In my experience (both my own personal experience, and witnessing friends quitting), cold turkey seems to be the way to go. Probably not for everyone, but from what I've seen, gradually cutting back doesn't work at all, because each cigarette takes on a bigger meaning, as each puff is accompanied by thoughts of "Just 3 more of these left, and then no more ever." It attaches too much significance to each smoke and makes it impossible to really quit. Cold turkey worked for me on the second try, although I only smoked for between 2 and 2 and a half years. No idea about the patch/gum/other ai
  13. I'm, uh, rooting for Michigan. Sort of surprised that others here are. It's weird.
  14. I'm having no trouble seeing them.
  15. Well first off, no one thought it was as serious before yesterday as they do now. When they activated him from the DL, they were relying on the advice of their doctors. Personally, I trust doctors. Also, right now they're barely in a playoff spot. What if they're not this good again for the next 15 years? They aren't the Yankees. For most teams, if they find themselves in a position to make a playoff run, they have to do what it takes to make it happen.
  16. Was he just speculating on that or did he have a legit source? Because Brantley is sort of dumb (and as you indicated, um, not a doctor), so if it was just his own estimate, it's pretty worthless. Anyway, yeah, it was a big mistake, but I don't fault them for it. There's no way they could have known it would have happened like this, and if the doctors said he was healthy to throw, then how could they not try to bring him back for the playoff push?
