When you think of artists influenced by Dylan....

I wonder if they're going to include any Richard Hodgkins. -
Personally I don't mind the production on Nevermind. It's just a little harder to listen to because it's impact was just so big that it's hard to listen to it for what it is rather than for everything it represents. The songs are top notch though.

If you legitimately worked your ass off to try to prevent catastrophe, and then got a ton of blame for thousands of deaths piled on you (mixed in with blatant lies about the work you had done), would you protest the assertions?

Clinton was only being an a-hole if you're sure he was lying. If that 9/11 TV movie, plus all of the Bush spin, are really as inaccurate as Clinton says, then he has every right to be furious about it, and should be defending himself as adamatly as he can.

Of course Nirvana influenced some shit bands. They also influenced a lot of excellent ones. For a few years, they were the most influential band in the world, and inevitably the results are going to come back mixed, when the scope of their influence is that broad. As it is, I'm not certain that their impact actually was as great as it appeared it was in '92 or '95 or even more recently. But I think they still stand up as the most important band of the era, and I think that their music does hold up very well on it's own anyway. Has it aged badly? Maybe, but a lot of that might be that th

And even if it weren't official...that game isn't affecting the playoff race. They wouldn't have even had to make it up. And of course playing in those conditions does increase the risk of injuries... -

A great second half, for sure. -
I'm awfully skeptical until this has real confirmation.

I think a dope smokers vs. parents battle royale is in order.

For the record, I'm not against Jeter winning the MVP because he is a Yankee, but because there are other guys who had better seasons than him. He did have a hell of a season, though. -
I'm assuming she meant that a woman with two kids has a lot more responsibilities outside of work that could occassionally get in the way of work. Of course a whole lot of working mothers have also developed some remarkable time management skills that most pot smokers probably can't match, so...

Rarely, but it's not as though it's never happened. I think it's a pretty real possibility this year. -

Probably 15 or so. I'm just curious what that has to do with anything though. The majority of the guys voting for the award probably haven't seen more than that. Very good point. -

Yep, all those guys deserve it over Jeter. Here are a few more: Jermaine Dye David Ortiz Travis Hafner (even with the injury, IMO, but yeah, I can see the argument here) -

Yeah, he's got a very good shot at winning. But only because the media has a boner for him. He's having a great year, but he shouldn't be MVP. -
Hey jhc, are you related to thc?

It should be Johan. And it would have properly been Hafner if he hadn't gotten hurt, although I realize that there is no chance that they actually would have given it to him. -
Are you ready for some football?

Eh, I don't know, they should win this weekend regardless. And I don't think they're really as good as they played last week. But they'll beat Wisconsin. -
For someone who has only smoked rarely in recent months, a re-test is just fine. So long as you aren't stupid and go ahead and smoke in between the first test and the re-test, then the second test will be fine and you'll be redeemed.

This is a poorly written article by a guy who is generally a turd, but I think it does touch on an important issue that not too many people are talking about: The pain principle By Jeff Passan, Yahoo! Sports September 21, 2006 Every six months, New York Yankees pitcher Randy Johnson gets injected with a substance in his right knee that allows him to pitch without pain. With the injections, Johnson can work out longer and harder and stay fresh at 43 years old despite the complete lack of cartilage in his knee. And this treatment -
Now that is what I call advice.

Be careful with any of those masking agents. Some drugs tests look for those now, too.

Yeah, just drink a lot of water. And it wouldn't hurt to go running a few times. Get that metabolism moving. If you've just smoked that one time in the last few weeks, that should be enough.
