You look an awful lot like my old bass player/singer from the band I was in when I was in college (see: the dude in the hat in the picture from my friend's wedding).

Tigers game last summer. With some friends at a wedding, 7/05. Grrr....I'm a bear. Just a few minutes ago. As you can see, nature is giving me a natural mohawk. My receding hairline is lame, but also totally punk rock. Or at least it will be.

My friend was less upset by the missed field goal than he was by Minnesota's two second half touchdowns after such a strong first half defensively for Washington. Or so he said. I didn't watch any of it except the last minute when he told me I had to turn it on.

I was just chatting on AIM with a friend who is a huge Redskins fan. I think he just left to stick his head in the oven.

Not to be picky, but they didn't take him in the draft. Okay, I guess that was to be picky.

Heard a few bands from the beer serving area, but only escaped to see one. Black Heart Procession sounded great. CocoRosie...well, I'm not sure what to make of that. I saw Pinback, and they were entertaining although not transcendent or anything. Calexico sounded like Calexico.

I was about to say "no you don't", but then I realized that "UM" is not Michigan to everyone everywhere in the country. Among my friends, we refer to Miami as "Thaaaaaa U", because that's what all their former players call it in their NFL intro things.

Well, I said "not too many", not "nobody". I guess you're one of the few. Or maybe I chose a bad example. :-P

We did this a while ago, but by now I've sort of forgotten what you all look like. So if you feel like sharing, then do it.

I love both of Klosterman's books that I have, but I've hated every article I've ever read by him. For some reason, his schtick doesn't really work in that format, and sort of gets obnoxious. It's kind of weird.

A lot of greats continued to play way longer than they should have. Not too many people remember how horrible Willie Mays's last couple years were. It's sort of sad/funny to see Favre right now, but he's not ruining his legacy. Ten years from now, only those who were rooting for his decline will remember it.
