  1. They're not going to be very good while they're still at RFK. So maybe they'll get the upper deck bouncing at the new place, but I don't think it will happen before they move. I don't really have a team in the NL, but the closest to it is the Nats. My brother had season tickets last year, and his enthusiasm for them rubbed off on me a little bit. Although I was definately more into them last year than this year. Maybe after he moves back there I'll be a fan again.
  2. The fact that Bob Egan isn't even an option just proves that he is the answer to this question. Just kidding. It's Jorgenson.
  3. Joey was terrible in Detroit. Absolutely terrible. But he was also set up to lose, with not much of an offensive line, and not much of a running game until the very end. He also had a team and media that constantly ripped on him. His performance is, in the end, his own fault, but he certainly wasn't helped out by the organization or the community. If Harrington starts the Thanksgiving game in Detroit, I predict that Joey throws for 600 yards and 9 touchdowns, after which he will give the finger to the fans and take a shit in the middle of the field. And I wouldn't blame him one bit.
  4. I hope Rogers does get cut. There are rumors that Mike Williams may get cut too. I think it's a little too early with him, though. Rogers can go though. The Lions should be able to beat the Vikings at home, and they might even be able to steal that home game against the Bears, though I'm not optimistic. I'm glad I've never been much of a Lions fan. This year I'm getting the payoff for years of suffering as a Tigers fan, but I really don't see that payoff coming any time soon for Lions fans, at least until the Fords are no longer owning the team. What a disaster that franchise is. Sti
  5. Immaturity is what sports fandom is all about.
  6. I agree on all counts (the predictions, and hopes for the first two being wrong, and of course the last one being right). Watching games with him is so stressful.
  7. Also, tab sites do nothing if not to intensify people's fandom. All they're doing with this is alienating fans, and shutting down yet another way in which people might get more entusiastic about music, and therefore more likely to buy more music. In short, this is stupid.
  8. If that gets Jones removed for the closers role in favor of Zumaya well then...well, I still won't object to the result of the game, but hey, let's get Jones out of there.
  9. You have not been attacked. We asked for clarification and examples that might prove your point.
  10. I'm sorry, I just can't imagine how someone saying anything could border on treason. Regardless, you didn't say close to treason in this post, you said treason. I apologize for asking you to back up your statements. I've learned my lesson. It won't happen again.
  11. Now suffering through Hawk and DJ, as I am getting a rare opportunity to see my Tigers on TV.
  12. Give me an example of something an elected official has said that has was treasonous.
  13. How is it treasonous? I'm of the view that expressing one's personal viewpoint, no matter how ridiculous, is never treasonous. I believe strongly in free speech, and our right to criticize our government. Also, the vast, vast, vast majority of people who think that every single thing that Bush has done has been horrible have never compared him to Hitler. You're lumping a huge group of people together based on the statements of very few. Personally, I think accusing other Americans of being treasonous for having a differing viewpoint is far more dangerous than anything that anyone can sa
  14. QFT. This isn't a Democrats vs. Republicans thing. Most Republicans, by now, have realized that Bush is a joke (at best).
  15. No, he called for neocons to be removed from office by democratic election. What an asshole, eh? Also, not all conservatives are neocons.
  16. I predict that the Lions will finally kill my grandfather this year. They've been trying to do it for years. I sure hope I'm wrong. That is all.
  17. So what would he have to do to no longer warrant getting that benefit of the doubt? A lot of people gave him the benefit of the doubt and it resulted in a bloody, unnecessary mess of a war. Under those circumstances I think it's perfectly fair to doubt him.
  18. I'd like to hear one reason why he should be given the benefit of the doubt about anything at this point. I'm not really sure why anyone cares whether he read the book or not, but let's get real about this, he's shown himself to be incompetent in pretty much everything he's done since he's taken office. Why should people take him seriously?
  19. Actually, his range has improved over the years. Early on his fielding was horrible, now it's adaquate.
  20. What else should people be talking about?
  21. If the cops had even the slightest idea what they were doing back when this case was still everyday news, they would have withheld some information from the media that only the killer would know (like anything really unique about the murder that someone wouldn't be able to just guess) so that a false confession could easily be spotted. I don't know if they did that or not, but if they did, they might not even have to wait for the DNA evidence to come back to debunk this.
