That's just weird.

Perhaps, but I sort of feel like if she meant to just reference the fact that he was behind but still in the race in June, she would have said "We all remember when Robert Kennedy was behind but still campaigning in June" instead of "We all remember when Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June."

Sure, he's got some money to make on this, but that still doesn't answer the question of whether what he's saying is true or not. For all the Bushies and former Bushies pointing out that McClellan is making money, not too many of them are actually disputing his claims.

Pretty sure there's been an MoB thread here before. Anyway, definately one of my favorite bands of all time. Still put out great albums and putting on great shows. I think that if there was one band from rock history that I could have been in, it would be either Mission of Burma or X.

Bonds's possible salary demands are the only reason a team fighting for a playoff spot should consider not signing him. I believe that chemistry exists so much as yeah, I guess anyone who is putting a team together is going to want his guys to be happy enough in the clubhouse to not demand to be traded or something. But no, I don't think it has much, if any, effect on a team's performance on the field, and no one going to demand a trade while the team is winning. There are a ton of legendary assholes in baseball's history who have won all sorts of championships. Perhaps their teammates

If Oakland or Tampa Bay are still in the hunt in late July, I think both of them are good candidates to go after Bonds -- especially Tampa who supposedly considered signing him in the offseason. If Matt Joyce slows down and Sheffield works out okay in leftfield then I don't think its impossible that the Tigers might try to sign him too (also assuming that they work their way back into the playoff hunt before then). I'd be surprised if he ended up back in the National League. I guess I wouldn't be too horribly surprised if no one signs him, but I think the potential upside to signing him co

Someone will sign Bonds in July or August. He's worth it for a team that is teetering close to making the playoffs, but he carries too hefty a pricetag and too much baggage for a whole season if it turns out that the team isn't going anywhere anyway.

I think that mental health is a slightly different issue than physical health though.

I'm sympathetic to women who feel as though it is time for a female president -- I agree that it is past due. But it's long due for a racial minority president too. Regardless, no one is entitled to be President. Obama didn't take anything away from Hillary -- she hadn't earned it yet. We need to ensure that everyone has a fair shot at it without race or gender issues getting in the way of evaluating who the best candidate is, but we still have to find the best candidate. I was an Edwards supporter early on in this race, but there's no doubt in my mind that Obama ran the best campaign, an

Yep. And he should have disclosed that.

You left out the part about how only reporters who seem favorable to him can look at them, and how they're only given access to them for a very brief time, and how they can't have anything with them whatsoever that may assist them in going through the records. You think he's putting those restrictions on for no reason? Asking questions about something and purposely spreading misinformation about it are not the same thing. Yeah, but there are a lot of things that the vast majority of American people don't care about but should. Also, the reason it is an issue is because it would be a p

This has to be the most disingenuous thing I've ever read. As if speculating about things that might be in records that McCain is hiding is even close to the same thing as the many, many documented instances of Rove just making things up (and yes, most likely partaking in criminal behavior). And McCain could easily diffuse the speculation by not being so secretive about his health.
-
Not sure what I was looking at before...
-
They both did, months ago. Only sort of. He did the same thing he's doing now with his other medical records -- a small group of reporters were able to access them for a few minutes and not bring anything to record any of it other than a notepad and pen.
-
He's also not releasing any of the records regarding his mental health.
-
Why is anyone listening to Karl Rove anyway? He's been pretty wrong about just about everything concerning policy over the last 8 years, and about everything regarding electoral politics in the last 2 or 3. Furthermore, you can't trust anything he says because it usually comes attached to an alterior motive, so it's hard to really know which things that he writes should be taken seriously and which should be taken with a grain of salt. Also, if I was a newspaper editor, I don't think I'd want to be associated with a criminal like Rove.

Meeting with Ahmadinejad wouldn't make much difference anyway since, despite being cast as the bogeyman here in the U.S., he has no power whatsoever over foreign policy or the Iranian military. I'm just saying. Also, meeting with someone is not the same as making a deal with them. There's no harm in meeting with someone -- if they don't come around to your point of view, then you don't make a deal. It's pretty simple. But meetings are a lot more effective than saber-rattling, which only strengthens anti-U.S. sentiment and fear throughout the region.

So you are having S&M fantasies that involve punching him in the face?

Does that mean you got the old license plate off of it?

The sound at the Pritzker Pavilion is great, though the lawn isn't angled, so if you're not in the seated area or the very front of the lawn, you're not going to see the stage.

But Bob Barr doesn't have the same initials as Perot.

Wow, that's pretty bad.

I like it better than I did when it was released, but still find it to be disappointing overall. Easily Wilco's worst album.
