It's pretty much a matter of Obama saying "Look, I tried to stand up for you, I tried to defend you, but if you insist on continuing to run around looking like a fucking idiot at my expense, then fuck you."

Good riddance Jason Grilli.

So long as the Cousin Mose show doesn't take too much of Michael Schur's time away from writing for FireJoeMorgan then I'm all for it.

I bet he turns it around a little bit. He's always a slow starter. He is also past his prime though, so I don't think you'll get the Delgado of old even once he hits his stride, but he should get considerably better than he's been so far.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't except a state to issue one without a group requesting it, but at the same time, I think that if they did there'd probably be a huge backlash.

Can I get an atheist plate?

Well, in Bush v. Gore the Supreme Court said that a fundamental right to vote for President does not exist, so I guess there's your difference of opinion right there.
-
You're right, the tax code really should be simplified.
-
When politicians pass a law claiming that it will solve a problem that does not exist, doesn't that give you pause, even for a moment, to question what the real purpose of that law is?
-
Yeah, people still have to register to vote.
-
Only if you are required by the state to take the bus to the polling place.
-
To me the bigger issue is, what is the purpose of this requirement? As Matt pointed out, there is no evidence that there is voter fraud going on, so there has to be another purpose in doing it. I'm not sure if the point is to make voting more difficult for poor and minority voters, but if that's not it, then I can't think of what the purpose of such a rule is. It was implemented to prevent something that isn't really happening to any significant degree? That just doesn't make sense.

It's a requirement to pay money to vote. Simple as that.

Unless state IDs are free (which as far as I know, they aren't anywhere), then it's a violation of the 24th Amendment.

Yeah, I was including them. Maybe that shouldn't count since it was a one-off backing band, but it's a really good album.

Good/bad uniforms could be its own thread methinks.
-
They were the worst. The team was really bad in those years too, but I think I actually resented the uniforms worse than the shitty players.
-
I hadn't seen the old Miami Marlins uniforms before, but they do look a lot nicer than what they wear now. I'm not a big fan of teal uniforms. Brings me back to some really bad years for the Pistons.

Jack Lawrence is in like 4 bands I like. Gotta respect that.

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe

All music sucks. -
The only good I see coming from this is that maybe Flip will finally be fired.

What's the problem? Who is going to be offended by those remarks? I can only think of 2 groups: 1) Racists. Racists would not vote for Obama anyway (which is sort of the point) and 2) Non-racist McCain supporters. These people are also not going to vote for Obama So why is this a problem for Obama? Shouldn't be an issue.
