As for me...I care more about baseball. The stats are actually reflective of the game on the field, and the long history and continuity of the game makes the game's milestones understandable and familiar. Outside of the lowering of the mound in 1969, there has been no real tampering with the acutal mechanics of how the game is played. While the DH is controversial (to some), it is really not a substantial change to the mechanics of the game. The DH still has to bat and the pitcher is still 60'6'' from home.

As the ban progresses in their career, we will see fewer and fewer songs from the older records. If you extend this, you will see only two from W(TA). Luckily, this record is a really good one, so 8 or so songs from it being performed every night is a real treat. I didn't say I was going to comply...

Because it is the most ambiguous of all sabermetrical stats. I was a big follower of Bill James in the early 80's, but I can't buy into this stat. It is a non-standardized statistic. There is no one clearly established calculatable formula. I'm not anti-statistics or even advanced sabermetrics. This one just sounds better than it's actual meaning, at least in this point of its usage and development.

And I'm sure before the next record and tour, when Jeff is making his media rounds, he'll have some reflections over complaints about setlists and show length. Meh. Offer up thoughts about disappointments with certain issues and you become a pariah. Meh I say...MEH

Let me say this once again...Can you imagine the Wilco of 1997 giving up on a crowd that wasn't in to it? Jeff would have grabbed 'em by the throat and wrecked the venue to get the crowd in to it.

Even thought he got exiled to extra-terrestial radio, Bob Edwards interviewed him earlier this year. Jeff's mixture of self deprecation, self importance and thoughtful reflection makes for a really odd listen.

Wilonsky doesn't say that the band wasn't feeling it from the crowd. Maybe Jeff got a bad taco and had to hit the bathroom. Maybe Nels owes somebody money and he saw them in the crowd. Maybe they had to get back to the bus to catch the latest episode of Craig Ferguson. I hate to think they didn't want to work it harder to get the crowd up. Yep...I blame it on Ferguson. But didn't they know it was a rerun?

The thing I remember most about the last palladium show was the guy passing out right on my feet. That and the sound was just a bit too loud (I didn't get my hearing back for about a day and a half). It was epic, but some folks need to learn how to act in public and not get so stinking drunk.

And the subtle inclusion of One Wing there too. But look at what Austin got for a freaking Television Taping. And You'll know when I'm whining bub.

Wasn't me. But...intangiblels are important. (Young might have gotten pissed for a bit about asking to be moved to another position, but he didn't embarrass the team with behavior issues). Plus...WAR is a silly stat.

Well...apparently you can't EVER sit at a Wilco show or you aren't getting in to it. And you will get a shortened encore.
