  2. Sounds like a great idea. I have plenty of shows that I have converted to mp3 and tagged properly for my ipod. Another idea I have, if you have an aim account. There is 2 ways to send things. One is goto file > transfer , but thats ridiculously slow. BUT if you click on add picture then change your settings for all files instead of pictures in the add files directory, you can send it as fast as your bandwidth will allow you. If anyone is interested in sending shows via zip on aim, my SN is gwilly17... I work full time sitting on a computer, so you can usually find me online 9 to 5
  3. that is the only logical thing I can think of, but even so, you push up on the offsides trap. You dont just stand their with your hands on your knees for 10 seconds. Think about how many people put down cash for Brazil in that game. They were a sure win
  4. I was going to post this on the World Cup topic but seeing that it has now been locked I cant... Sorry, I dont want to continue to drag on the world cup but, you really need to check this out... http://www.funnydumper.com/Funnypics/html/brazilmatch.htm Just to confirm I checked the video on youtube and it is correct. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM737ikdmjo...20france%20goal it is sad, I have always regarded Roberto Carlos as being one of the best players for Brazil. Either he was REALLY REALLY winded, or this is some major bullshit
  5. I remember seeing this years ago before I really even knew what drugs could do to you. I love seeing videos of him in his youth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSIgX3O56Wk...h=syd%20barrett
  6. OK, sorry... I might have acted a bit drastic by calling you an idiot, I just hate how everyone bashes the fact that they renamed themselves to the Redbulls. I was out of line. It would be great if they did switch the name to the cosmos in honor of those greats who did retire their careers there. But the fact is, most of the fanbase does not even know that their existed the cosmos back in the 70s. Unless you played soccer back then, you didnt even know that the NASL existed... I am just tired of seeing good talent in the US leaving because they can't pay the players more than the lowest paid
  7. ... I like practically everyone here stand firm against corporate sponsorship. But, the ONLY way the MLS will EVER be able to compete with leagues like the EPL is to offer competitive wages. Considering its close to impossible to get sponsorships to pick up the MLS due to corporate american television (unlike stations like BBC which are owned by the government) the lack of commercial breaks offered in a game makes it hard for MLS teams to get the appropraite fundage for their teams. With the forming of the New York Redbulls, we have heard talks of trying to get Ronaldo to sign a 60 mill contra
  8. I LOVED the character 'Hunter' on Venture Brothers... classic
  9. I dont think the current way of playing it is too far off from that... ultimately if no one scores in sudden death it goes to PKs 9/10 times when someone scores in overtime its the deciding result of the game. If that 1/10 time occurs where a team counters and ties it again, then I believe its worthy for them to take it into PKs I know that by playing the overtimes kind of "ruins the moment". You dont get to celebrate off the field and get yourself hoisted up by the team yada yada yada... I am more of a fan of teams that can produce results when the chips aren't in their favor, any tim
  10. We need to bring back the old MLS shootouts, 15 seconds from half field... now those were FUN to watch. breakaways are a hell of a lot cooler than free kicks one on one against the goalie
  11. From my understanding, most of the allegations were for the club owners specifically assigning refs to ref certain matches. That sounds like to me that the decisions were made in the office...not on the field. I dont think that most of the italian players, if not all of them were aware that this was going on. They want to keep those things hushed up, if a player was informed of it then left to a different squad whats to say he would keep his mouth shut?? I dont blame the players, I blame the political bullshit thats been following soccer for years... JOGA BONITA!
  12. COME ON PEOPLE! we are talking about fuckin Zidane here, he is a true european footballer. I thought it was fricken sweet. These sort of plays proves every American fuck out there who calls soccer a "field fairy" sport, that they have no clue what they are talking about. Emotions rise and games get intense... I commend Zidane on going out with style, true european football. now lets drink up, start some riots, and break some shit!
  13. I wasn't aware that U2 was the official sponsor of the world cup... I dont even know the amount of times that I heard streets have no name Overall good game, Zidane is a true European footballer. I wouldnt expect anything less out of him, I thought it was fricken hilarious, and did you notice that he got a tittie twister right before that haha
  14. I am at work so I cant torrent till I get off... hows the quality of the show??? THANKS FOR THE TAPING!
  15. You obviously weren't standing by the right people... and to the person who let me smoke them up so I could get on the bleachers for Theologians THANKS!
  16. I have been to a few Wisconsin shows now and TRUST ME them being quiet is not a bad thing... I really thought the crowd was great last night, I was worried that it was going to suck horribly. I ran into a kid I knew from the dorms and his friend was just being a obnoxius drunk practically screaming to his friend during the opening tracks... I tried as much as I could to shush as people were giving him god awful deserving looks... I finally just moved forward and figured some other person would tell him in a not so nice way. I was able to get myself up by the soundboard right before the sho
  17. Sequel to Trainspotting, its a great read I would also recommend reading Trainspotting first, as great as the movie is...the book is, like always, much better
  18. ...new rule on the VC, NO MORE QUOTING ESPN/ABC COMMENTATORS. They are all a bunch of jag-bags who refer to their "glory days" of the '94 world cup.
  19. thats right...it was a 2-2 against Sweden. England plays a game of possession and they do it well. They dont give up too many opportunities and when they do, they have soo many great players in the back that will chase down any ball. A good team wins when they aren't clicking...I have a feeling england will get it going on all cylinders and now that Rooneys back, I smell a goal fest coming real soon
  20. OK, I agree with you there...he is not affective when they are playing a loner striker with Rooney up top. And you are right, with that much talent in the mid, they should be moving the ball up the field instead of playing dump n run. BUT when you have a 6'8 gangly looking dude uptop doing the robot, a nice inswinger always looks good on their head. Beckham should be a second half sub with Crouch. If they do that, they will be able to get those late second half winners, like the game yesterday. AND ANOTHER THING! no one has ever said anything about the fact that England has given up 1 go
  21. Its not always about getting the goal, Beckham has had approximatly 4 assists off free kicks in the past month for England...no one can bend a ball like him and as a result, theres been some sick goals. and clutch means performing well under pressure. it was mid second half and England needed a goal for the win ... Beckham scoring from 30+ was clutch
  22. as soon as I get aggrivated with the ABC commentary...I turn to telemundo, its much easier to drown out a language you are unfamiliar with
  23. Beckham can walk around the pitch all day as long as he can bend in clutch free kicks like that from 30+ GO ENGLAND!
