  1. I saw this one last night in one of those fancy new 1000 seat auditrium-like theaters with the massive sound. I must admit, I was quite touched and slightly moved by the heroics but can't say I'd recommend this film as a must see. I will say though, the sound and visuals when the building comes down are amazing.
  2. Wow! I haven't seen them since like 1989. That was a really fun show for mew as a teenager. I bet I'd still have fun without turning black and blue.

  5. Beehives isn't that great in my opinion. You Forgot it in People is excellent though.
  6. I'll be of the sake in a little while. A small amount mind you.
  7. Thanks. I look forward to meeting some of you at future shows there. I have seen Banyan @ Dipiazza's a couple time, chatted w/Nels, etc. I've become one of his biggest fans.
  8. I love Nels Cline and can't wait to move to California next month. Where exactly is Largo? BTW, I'm a huge Danny Elfman fan and it pleases me to hear he was there to see Nels.
  9. Oregon Beers are the best. Try Rogue and Bridgeport. Went to Portland 2 summers ago and did a brewpub hop. They are very proud of their beer in Oregon. Full Sail's good too.
  10. Yeah, tiny little joint. There were probably 100 or so there. My friends Kunek play there sometimes but I never make the trek from Stillwater. I would love to see more shows there but I'm moving out west next month. Maybe when I come back to visit.
  11. Nope. They have a new singer. Guys name is Breck and he's totally cool. I thought he sounded a bit like Ian Mackaye. He told me it's a D.C. thing.
  12. A large Coca Cola Classic from Taco Bueno.
  13. Yeah, they stole the show. I told Amanda Ape that Liars should be opening for them. Seriously.
  14. This was my first time to see a show at the opolis, a tiny concert venue owned and operated by Norman's own Starlight Mints. The crowd was small and I was glad because it was quite easy to get right up front and interact with the bands. Deer Hunter kicked things off with a high energy, straight forward rocking set. It was good, but the vocals were almost completely drowned out by their loudness. Their frontman seemed to be pretty drugged up as well. I liked them though. Next up were The Apes. (I had never heard them before and was curious because before the show, while sitting out on the
  15. I love The Trapeze Swinger. My favorite of Sam's songs.
  16. Pat Sansone is one of the nicest men I have ever met.
  17. These are currently keeping me company. Both books seem more current than the 1930s.
