Today I... * Worked on some songs * Went to a bookshop * Had two coffees * Worked on some songs some more * Watched the last two thirds of Contact while folding laundry * Wondered whether I should get a J-45 or a HD-28 (when I finally get the money)

I've always loved this song. John's harmony is sublime, too.

Such a brutal, tender, compassionate, honest examination of a marriage. Ingmar Bergman writes so clearly and beautifully. It's fascinating.

Very sad. What a brilliant show The Sopranos was.

This is a nice acoustic version of Old LA. Gotta love the big sound of Anders' Martin. -

Agreed. I only picked up this CD a month or so ago and I've listened to it numerous times. It's only now just leaving heavy rotation. Old LA was the one that hit me hardest. Such a simple yet beautiful song. -

Whoo-ee! I dig your taste, man! I've been listening to a lot of Townes lately. And the Son Volt album is just sublime. That record brought me to this one: ...and I'm loving it so far. The two disc edition has a bunch of extra tracks from Jay Farrar and Anders Parker.
