  1. Thanks for that. I'll wait for the remasters but I like your description of Rainy Day Music. I might start with that. I think I'll most likely end up getting all of them, though.
  2. I don't own (and, in fact, have not even heard) any of the Olson-less Jayhawks albums. What's the pick of the bunch?
  3. #1...When you get older you start to look back more. I wan to be wistful and nostalgic in my fading years and force the old music on anybody around me who'll listen. Case in point: last night I heard 100 Years Ago by the Stones for the first time in what must be twenty years and I used to listen to that record over and over again (on tape) when I was 16. So I played the rest of Goat's Head Soup and it took me back to so many things. I could see my bedroom then, hell I could even smell it. It was very powerful being taken back like this. I'd never give that up.

  7. I'm struggling with it. I skimmed the middle section (The tape transcripts) a lot. Now I'm through to the other side of that and I've got a little over 120+ pages to go and I've gotta say my enthusiasm is waning.

  12. Neil Young's Tonight's The Night - one of my favourite liner notes. Tonight's The Night Album Insert 1Hello Waterface: Welcome to Miami Beach. Everything is cheaper than it looks, As you know, the Santa Monica Flyer is the longest train around. It's so fast and straight with its up to date. I'm just down here working on BB's plane crash album and it sure looks good to me. Tonight's the night. We're gonna get loose in the caboose with our backs to the tracks. Yes, we're all on vacation and we deserve it. Waterface, I sincerely hope you can make it back in time. It all feels so strange.
