I just picked up Thunder, Lightning, Strike this week in Pittsburgh brand new for $1 at this sidewalk sale type thing going on. Jammed it in the rental car all over that city.
-

-
I'll second the request for an extra if anyone wants a stranger to go with them!

After two listens I like it quite a bit - the only track I'm not keen on is the second song (which is the one discussed above) Thoughts?
-
Not sure about this song - I'll listen again.
-
I think the third song, "Comfort Inn" is one of my favorite songs of the year so far.
-
He (supposedly) pulled off the opening slot for Yo La Tengo here in Madison because the venue and promoter referred to him as Richard instead of David.
-
nice, really looking forward to this one as well.

The Clientele - God Save The Clientele

Album is a lot different than I expected, there are no songs where Matt goes raging mad like on Alligator. Needless to say the album is fantastic with my two current favorite songs being Ada and Gospel.

I really dig his stuff as well.
-
I doubt it actually - they sold out their last Chicago performance and Alligator was a pretty big album. I bet they'll do just fine at the Metro. No word on who is supporting for these shows yet.
