While you are at it - check out the night before at The Rupp Area. Nice show. 1978 is a fine year. Though you have to weed thru the hits and misses. When its a hit --- its out of the park.

Shortest Distance/Longest distance for a Wilco/Jeff show?
Skian replied to remphish1's topic in Just A Fan
Longest: 875 mile to Portland, Or from Cambria, CA ---- with 2 young kids - Grandma/Babysitter in Portland. Shortest: Same trip - Grandma's/Babysitter's house to Roseland Ballroom - 7 blocks Long drive. Short walk. Great show! Second row right behind Sarah C who provided the photos posted on the web. Forgot to say thank you back then (2004). Thank you. -
Thank you.

The Other One was a nice watch. I would recommend to other ones too. Quick question - Who was playing bass with Bob during the closing credits? He looked like the same guy playing bass with Billy Idol on the Guitar Center Sessions.

Nicky Hopkins was also on John Lennon's Imagine Album - piano & electric piano on "Jealous Guy", "Oh My Love" and "How Do You Sleep?" Added a nice flavor to the JGB for a time even if he was a little pickled.

Yesterday morning after dropping the kids off at school - On our local NPR station (KUNR) - played the tail end of the jam from Impossible Germany during their traffic report and morning program guide. Dad Rock at its finest!

I really miss the days of free trade in collecting bootlegs. For those of you I used to trade with - I'd like to re-fresh a warm thank you. Thank you. I'd also like to add 10/30/97. and a side note: the show from Seattle 11/28/01 I believe has 68 wailing "nothings". I also miss the JP set (encores/closing songs) ending the shows. Couple of Roadcases?

Songs/Bands you discovered through covers of their songs

Sorry - Jerry Shows. 1974 - great year for Garcia and Saunders and Legion of Mary G&S 2/5/74 LOM 7/22/74 1977- JGB 8/7/77 & 12/6/77 JGB in 1976 & 1977 are pretty stoney. I like the 1978 a bit more. 1979 we saw the birth of Reconstruction (revamped LOM). 1980 is when he really took off with a very solid JGB. You can't go wrong with any show that featured Eleanor Rigby -> After Midnight -> Eleanor Rigby.

1982 - 4/6/82 Philly Spectrum - Best Shakedown (hands down) 10/10/82 Frost Amp (harvest time in CA, a lot of smoke in the air at that show)
