  10. This is a myth. He is credited with this only because he applied for the copyright in his own name. But all the great songs he said he wrote were a collective effort by The Band. He just so happened to weasel the credit away from the others.
  11. More like----Robbie was the true dick in the band. Just look at his glowing solo career. What talent!!!???? It was a combined effort by The Band to be The Band!
  12. Ram, Band On The Run and Wings Over America are good solid albums. Aside from that I'd rather listen to Imagine - How Do You Sleep?......niiiightsss! "The sound you make is muzac to my ears"
  13. Gliddy glub gloopy Nibby nabby noopy La la la lo lo Sabba sibby sabba Nooby abba nabba Le le lo lo Tooby ooby walla Nooby abba naba That chorus cracks me up. What a bunch of non-sensible gibberish! I believe it goes > "Glibby glop gluby" Anyways a nice song would..... Build Me Up Buttercup
  14. Blue Velvet - They take Jeffery for a ride - Dennis Hopper demands the "candy colored sandman" and the big blond is grooving on top of the car to Roy Orbisons "In Dreams". While Jeffery gets his ass kicked. "Do you like beer Jeffery?" also- Missouri Breaks any seen with Brando and Jack. How about Repo Man? Anyone?

  19. Time to move on to Hayduke Lives. Check out The Brave Cowboy and then Fire On The Mountain. There is a great movie from the 50's called Lonely Are The Brave. It is the story of The Brave Cowboy (Jack Burns), starring Kirk Douglas, he has said it was his favorite roll/character in a movie. Also worth searching for are tapes/CD of Abbey reading Abbey. Dry but good stuff.
  20. I found it back in my bootleg trading days. Both the outdoor show from Fort Collins (aired on NBC back in 1976) and the indoor show that never aired. Worth seeking out.
  21. Hard Rain - Album, CD or DVD. Idiot Wind will blow you away and take Shelter From the Storm.
