Get down with Down With Wilco. Real nice songs. Retrivel of You, The Town That Lost Its Groove Supply & I'm Not Bitter are tops. I think the album has a great flow (like YHF). IMO I have been alternating Minus 5 Down With Wilco and Golden Smog Another Fine Day for my drives. Good stuff! I'll be checking out other Minus 5 releases soon.

Glens drumming on Not For The Season (Lamenated Cat) is mind blowing. Check out Eugene 9/4/03. I'd like to see him sit down with my other two favorites- Bill the Drummer & Mickey Hart.

Happy B-Day Bobby! Thanks for being apart of the great times I had 1980-93. Time to listen to 10/16/81.

Hey There, Happy Be-lated Birthday!! Mine was the day before yours. Thanks for all the great trades! Ian

No big deal. I'll give him a pass on this one too. I recall the same thing came out about a song(s) from the last two albums. Also of note: The album Empire Burlesque has several songs with lines from old classic movies. The album Under the Red Sky has several songs with borrowed lines from children's stories (fairy tales). Some earlier Dylan songs have borrowed lines from actual newspaper articles. Then there is this Tweedy guy who apparently borrows lines from other Tweedy songs. (the nerve!) "I said, you know they refused Jesus too, he said, you're not him" (115th Dream)

Nice song. I like the rehearsal version from IATBYH. The studio version is nice too. The closing instrumental (horns) on the studio version has a little Burt Bachurach sound to it. I'd like to see it on the next "Best of Dionne Warwick & Burt Bachurach" Seriously, Pieholden Suite and More Like The Moon are two of Tweedy's finest. (IMO)

Please let me know if you can by the Big Sur Bars at Trader Joes. Which town/store would that be?
-
For sure take water. Take your backpack too. You'll be able to carry more stuff. You might also want to take some Big Sur Bars. If you don't have any,zip thru the park down Tioga Pass to the town of Lee Vining (enjoy the view of Mono Lake) go to the Mono Market. You can buy some Big Sur Bars there. I just delivered some there yesterday.

I yelled for Spiders at the Berkeley Greek. They played it. Pretty cool. -

"When you have them by the balls, their hearts & minds will follow." Gen. Westmoreland (?) or just give them a couple bucks. It is a crazy world.
