  7. Just my two cents....10/10/82 was my all time favorite show to attend. We got burned on bogus tickets for 10/9. But the next day was great. Classic CA Fall weather for an afternoon show, harvest time had just happened up north, the windowpane was clean and a beautiful hippie chick in my arms. Wow, what memories! Many good times followed but I hit the wall in 1987. Many JGB shows after that with my last Dead show in Eugene OR August 22, 1993. Still enjoy the music and the memories.
  8. Froggie - you beat me to it. I was going to add that little tidbit. Is Bob selling out? No. He is just cashing in alittle. Good for him. I think I'll end up buying a VW first, then the caddy when I grow a pencil-thin moustache.
  9. You Are My Face. Great organ fill-ins (sounds like a little Garth influence). Nice guitar licks (sounds like Robbie Kruger) Lets not forget Glens galloping drums. That CD has been stuck in the car player for 3 weeks now!
  10. While in a local grocery store today (Manor Market) the song Buttercup (The Foundations) came on the radio over the PA. People were rocking and shopping. I have had this song stuck in my head all day (I'd like to share) Anyways I got to thinking...... Wilco could really do this song justice. Live or Studio. (Preferably live with me in the audience) Come on- what do you think? Tweedy? Are you out there?
  11. The Band is up there as one of my all time favorite bands. Its a short list - The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Wilco, The Doors, Dread Zepplin. Of coarse there is Bob Dylan and Neil Young to add to that list. I enjoy all of the albums of the original Band from Big Pink to Islands and even the post Last Waltz Band Jericho to Jubilation. I also enjoy all of their Dylan projects as well from Bob gone electric back-up band to Plant Waves to Before the Flood. (Though I think they had a bad batch of blow for the show the album was cut from (2/14/74 LA Forum?)) The Last Waltz was the gateway film to

  20. Okay, before this thread dies. I have got to say.... comparing Little Feat to The Band is like comparing The Bay City Rollers to The Beatles. What happened to this thread. I thought it was about Wilco and The Band. There I said it!
  21. For what it is worth - health foods vs wholesome foods. I lean towards things that have real ingredients or that are fresh or freshly picked or freshly baked. Some things that stand out for me lately (for grab and go) during my busy day are the Odwalla drinks, bananas/apples and Big Sur Bars . The combination keeps me going and I'm able to avoid eating the other - not so healthy stuff.
  22. Great topic. Good music that is standing the test of time. Lets not forget some of the great soundtracks he has done. Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Casino Royal (the original) to mention a couple.
  23. Yeah, this sucks. It was 70 degrees yesterday at 4000ft. My kids got a little sunburned. Looks like snow later this week. O'well- all good things in all good time.
  24. Best. Song. Ever. ? Shouldn't it be - The Greatest Story Ever Told (Grateful Dead)
