It would have been written a while ago though, and Jason certainly didn't consider them friends in the beginning.

Hype Machine top 50 albums of 2008/2009
Mrs. Peel replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Someone Else's Song
Great resource, thanks! -
I keep jumping around too, although Sunstroke hasn't left the top spot yet. Do you get the feeling it's aimed at Patterson? At first I thought it was about Shonna but now I'm thinking because of the "walk on the water" and "where is your masterpiece" lines it's got to be Patterson.

Will it just keep getting better and better until my head explodes? I think it might.

If you preorder through the link on their website you get a free 7"' while supplies last. They don't say what it is though. It could be some piece of crap the company's trying to unload.

It's only on 1/100th of the times the ShamWow ad is on around here, so I can't recite it as well as the other. There's one thing that totally bothers me about the ShamWow ad. When he pours the soda onto the piece of rug it leaks out into a pool underneath. But when he says "we're gonna do this in real time" they cut back to the rug and there isn't any soda on the table anymore. Not like I'm expecting truth in advertising but it's so blatant. That and when he puts the thing over his mouth when he says "this lasts 10 years...." so yo know that's not what he originally said.

You're on. Right now.... 1. Sunstroke 2. Cigarettes and Wine 3. The Blue (sounds so nice in headphones....you can hear him breathing ) 4. No Choice In The Matter 5. However Long 6. Soldiers Get Strange 7. Good 8. The Last Song I Will Write 9. Streetlights 10. Seven-Mile Island 11. Coda (just because it's short)

Basically the whole thing OWNS. I can't stop listening to this.
-
Actually, it had been brought up before, but I didn't know they were streaming songs. Thanks for the link! Sufjan is totally channeling Thom Yorke.

OK.

Read the article within the next 20 minutes, because it won't be there all day..... I've had a weird affinity for that guy ever since I first saw the ShamWow commercial. Good for him. It takes a lot of guts to stand up to the CoS.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
-
That sends you to the same place the previous links do.
-
Thanks, I saw the preorder info on Facebook but it doesn't mention the autographed part!

At the Calvin the double letters are first! Nice surprise, huh?
-
Oh yes, you're right! HH is the last row of the front Orchestra section. So, 8th row.
-
If your confirmation says HH I would drop them an email or give the box office a call to find out.
-
Yes, it is very weird. All I know is, when I got the email at 9:35 this morning I had a choice of just about anything besides the first 4 rows and some of the seats in the middle floor, which were the ones I'm seeing people getting through the Music Today presale.
-
I do think people do that! Just to see what they'd get if they could actually go to the show.
-
There are different allotments of tickets for each sale. The Music Today presale was given a certain amount of specific seats to sell. The Calvin Theater presale doesn't close, it just gives mailing list subscribers the opportunity to buy tickets before the general sale is activated on Friday. I can still go in right now and buy tickets using the link the Calvin emailed me and choose from any of the seats that are left in the theater. The only ones I couldn't have chosen using the Calvin link are the ones that were reserved for the Music Today presale. They were never available to me. As

Samples or actually performing together??? EDIT: Jesus, I just looked at the track listing with all the guests! What is this thing???
-
I JUST got an presale notice to my second account. So that's an hour and a half after the first one. They must be staggering the notifications.
-
I caught you on FB but I didn't have a chance to stop in here yesterday, so here's wishing you a second happy birthday!
-
I've only ever had to show my license. The person who purchased the tickets has to be the one picking them up. But, you can call their box office if you need to transfer the tickets to someone else ahead of time, I believe. NoHo is a pretty laid back town.
