Thank you, Mrs. Peel. I posted just after 10 about being shut out... Kept trying per you suggestion, and now have four tix third row dead center!!!!!!!! My day is now officially MADE.

 

I love Wilco more than I can say, and this will be my first Tweedy show.

I think for more popular artists they might send presale notices to random email addresses on their list. I still haven't gotten notices to my other two email accounts. I guess I just got lucky. I actually could have had 2nd row on the side but the last time I saw him at the Calvin with Glenn opening they had speakers stacked up on the sides of the stage and I could barely see Glenn so I went the safer route and chose the center.

Keep checking.....there are always people who are able to get in 20 or 30 minutes after they go on sale. Keep trying until it says they're really sold out.

They are very sporadic with their presale emails. I have 3 email addresses signed up with them and I only got one presale link this morning. Usually they pop up a few minutes after 10 but this one came up at 9:35.

Just got 5th row center for the Calvin through their mailing list presale.

It's actually the furthest back I've ever gotten through one of their presales though!

Sirens is fairly similar to what he did with DBT. The new one is leaps and bounds different. I was just reading an interview with him where he said something to the effect of wanting to move away from the "bar band sound." I think the new album is a reflection of that desire.

Absolutely true.

I think Jason is very much influenced by Wilco.

I know he likes them a lot but I've never heard the influence until some of these new songs.

This was my first thought, but then I questioned whether that is the obvious answer and is therefore wrong. Basically every time I made a prediction last week I was immediately proven wrong, so I'm not even going to try and figure this thing out!

Only listened to it once so far, but that one listen was reeeaaallly good. Like by the end all I could think was 'holy shit'.
