  1. i think i just got a brain injury.
  2. i thought it went to 11. i'm out of control.
  3. yeah - i heard a guy say "shake it up a little bit." same guy that said "take it home boys" i think. i love his color commentary.
  4. i can't figure out what this means: Dylan at Dutchess
  5. It's really all I can think about. Dear High Road Touring...
  6. now i'm totally talking through my hat here, but keeping in mind that they said a few more dates will be announced: when i line up this schedule with tanglewood's schedule and consult my rand mcnally it seems perfectly reasonable to hope that the stars align over lenox on july 16th.
  7. It is pretty big. I've been to a ballgame or two there. How did they handle the staging for a show? Were there any GA tix for the field or all in the seats? I think this is the shortest drive I'll ever make to a Wilco show ~45 minutes. I'm not gonna know what to do with myself!
  8. Woohoo! The wait is over and has just begun! Just in from HQ: The big news, Wilco's summer is really starting to shape up nicely. Dates in beautiful spots from Red Rocks to Wolftrap and a swing through 4 east coast minor league baseball parks. It's gonna be a fun summer. We'll have a few more shows to announce in coming weeks but this gets us to the bulk of the American dates. The first of our nonfestival European dates for August are also on the list now. JUN 19 Las Vegas, NV The Joint JUL 03 Morrison, CO Red Rocks JUL 08 Vienna, VA Wolf Trap JUL 10 Wilmington, DE Frawley Stadium JUL
  9. oh man! are you sure it's not the very.next.night. when i'll be driving through wilmington on the way home from the outer banks and more than happy to stop for the night? pleasepleaseplease bring a summer show my way!!! please. thank you.
  10. Yay! Thank you for posting this - the color and the play by play. I need this on youtube right quick. (watching my Yankees get pummeled)
  11. That's interesting about the Pines. I was hoping that with Tony M. setting up shop in Noho our recent run of "local" (100 mile radius) shows would continue. I check the Tanglewood website daily - that was a magical night and I had the sense that if it was up to the band, they would be back. Wishful thinking, perhaps.
  12. the gin blossoms "your boyfriend's over, i watch your light go out" never fails to bring back that good ol' lovesick punch in the gut feeling.
  13. the opening piano tinkling on a shot in the arm makes me feel like everything is gonna be ok. when they ease into that live, i'm done. the buildup to the headbanging part of spiders the um in i'm a wheel "...AND I SHOULD TAKE CARE" in hate it here the little halfbeat pause at 3:16 in via chicago the first 10 seconds of 90-mile waterwall by the national "please don't rain on my people!" from slow down by wyclef jean
  14. No worries, man, we've all been there. Your accounts were just so way off (and sorta humorous actually ) that I thought they would bear correcting. I usually can't remember much either, but my husband and I had been cracking each other up with the banter on our looong drive home, so it sorta stuck. As far as worrying about going to a show, nothing blisses me out and relaxes me like a Wilco (et al) show. Take it easy!
  15. it was a funny little show. my 13 year old nephew dubbed it "amazing" but what does he know really? i'd say more cute than amazing, but pure bliss no matter how you slice it. new madrid! pete seeger! after i spontaneously whooted during acuff-rose (sorry!) i asked my nephew if i embarrassed him. "yeah, but i'm ok with it." ok cool, we can hang. anyone else take the detour through the correctional facility trying to beat the parking lot let-out? more flickrs! so tired. so wonderfully tired.
  16. oh man, were your ears full of sandwich?! none of that happened like that! i know it's hard to remember verbatim, but your recollections are like that old operator game - that's how rumors get started! did you hear that jeff's dad was naked in new zealand when he backed up into a topless fan eating a hoagie? i'm definitely paraphrasing here, but i'm confident that i can at least maintain the integrity of the banter. ~ about 25 minutes in, jeff says to a woman in the front row "OH! you're wearing a sweater, a BEIGE sweater! it looked like you had been lifting up your shirt this whole t
  17. I just went back in at 10:18 and got two $75 dollar tickets???? Sweet!
  18. I was in right at 10:00 and got nothing. Will try again on the 7th I guess. Hopefully they'll have some $45 tickets then. (nothing makes my heart beat fast like a wilco (et al) ticket purchase. i get so nervous!)
  19. CT in the house! Hi! Yeah, as far as I can tell, Western CT is a Wilco wasteland. I am forever bemoaning the fact that I've never met anyone around here who has ever heard of them. I'm lucky to have my husband as a rock show partner and fellow Wilco fanatic. If I knocked "must love Wilco" off my friend criteria I would probably see a sharp spike in my social life... Between the Pines, Calvin, Schubert and Tanglewood, we have had quite the wealth of Wilco shows in recent years, particularly for such a teeny state. Very lucky indeed! They must really like us!
  20. I just realized I'm too old to be out so late on school night. Asking face for the following two seats together: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY Mon, Dec 15, 2008 08:00 PM Seat location: section 338, row B Total Charge: US $ 207.05 email: rebajoco@sbcglobal.net
