  1. Don't get fooled by the Blackwell site either. I tried ordering from them a couple months ago...waited a month for when they said they'd ship it, emailed them a week after since nothing was happening and they emailed back to say it was discontinued by the publisher so they canceled my order.
  2. This is great! Thanks for the work you're putting into this. It's greatly appreciated.
  3. For the Wilco seen while you're out and about.... Looks like the authors of the Jumble (in the Chicago Tribune at least) are fans...Look at the kids t-shirt. http://www.chicagotribune.com/features/chi...906757.htmlpage
  4. I wanted the artwork for the same reason so I downloaded the fold.jpg pics from Wilcobase, opened them in a picture editor (heck, you could even do it in something as basic as Word), and cropped the left side of them so they could be copied into Itunes. Hope this helps. And Roby...thanks for doing this, they look fantastic!
  5. Let's see if this works...I took a snapshot of the page with the paino part included and saved it as .jpg. Maybe seeing it will be better than me trying to explain it. I don't honestly even know if it means anything. I probably can just get away with playing a straight D chord, but curiousity got the best of me so I was wondering if anyone knew what it meant.
  6. That's what I thought orginally, but the A string is X'ed out in the chord diagram so I'm guessing it means something else...thanks for the response.
  7. Hey, I was wondering if someone could answer this question for me. I have the sheet music to "I'm still standing" (please, don't ask, I have to learn to play it for a retirement party where I'm part of the "band")...anyway, it's the paino sheet music with the guitar chords above it, but a couple of the chords say something like this, D (on A) I thought the "on A" meant maybe D/A but the pciture of the chord just shows your typical D chord. Anyone know what the "on A" means? There are a few chord structures that say that (like another is Bm on A)...thanks in advance for any help!
  8. Wow...that's great Kalle I can actually play a Nels Cline solo now...never thought that would happen...
  9. According to a friend I work with, XRT led off "New Noise at 9" on Thursday with What Light...XRT may not be quite the same as they used to be, but they have and do support Wilco pretty consistently
  10. I have two covers by Gomez of Reservations and Handshake Drugs...posted about this a little while back and there didn't seem to be much else out there besides the Pickin' disc, and the Nickel Creek covers. Enjoy! http://www.sendspace.com/file/whkbr6
  11. See, this is why Wilco is such a great band cause I know however I answer this question now, my "favorite" in 6 months will be different. It was like that on their last few albums (for example, ALTWYS initially then eventually Muzzle) and I guess it'll be like that on this one as well...
  12. Here's a link to download the 4 songs that I mentioned earlier....if anyone has any others, I'd love to hear them...I've heard the Pickin' On Wilco...I like it, not that much, but I thought the musicianship was good... I wish I could give credit to whoever I got them from, but I don't know...gotta be someone from this board though... Hope this works http://www.sendspace.com/file/avgqfo
  13. The other thread about the "Someone's Else's Songs" compliations got me thinking if anyone has any covers from other bands doing Wilco (or UT) songs...I have a couple live versions from Nickle Creek (Poor Places, IATTBYH) and Gomez (Handshake Drugs, Reservations)...and there was the UT tribute disk (For Anyone Who's Listening)...anyone know of any others out there that you can share? If requested, I can post the 4 I have (but not the UT album, obviously) ...always interesting to hear other bands takes on great songs.
  14. Thanks Wendy...now I'll know better for next time
  15. Ok...so I thought I'd help out and upload all the OuttaPrint OuttaSite songs (as mp3s) and I used mediafire. Seemed to be OK, but everytime I tried to "organize" my files, some would disappear or other strange things would happen...so after a while I think I've got the links to all 23 songs below. Unfortunately, (cause of mediafire) I wasn't able to easily label each one, so I thought screw it, be thankful they're all there . Would have been much easier if I knew somewhere that you could upload a folder, but oh well...hope this works. I'm assuming this is OK with Analogman that I post the
  16. I've always thought the gumbopages tab for this one is pretty good...i'm sure it's not exactly the same as tweedy's solo version but it's a good place to start...and according to the tab, at least, it is played on a bouzouki http://www.gumbopages.com/music/uncle-tupelo/songs/satan.txt
  17. I tried to download these as well a couple days ago and it wouldn't work (long story, computer fiasco...lost the files from when i orginally got them)...anyway, i was guessing that it was related to the fact that you can't download the sunken treasure dvd files either and when that issue is resolved then the AGIB tracks would work as well...just a guess
  18. I've always played something very similar except at the end I play -----------------0-------------------2-----X2---------5----3---5---0--1--2------- -2p0-----0--2-----2p0-----0--2----------then---2----0---0---0--0--1------- -------2------------------2----------------------------2---------------------2------- --------------------------------------------------------2------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- but to each his own
  19. I usually don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to transcriptions so take this for what it's worth I think overall the tab is right on...some minor variations from what you have but mostly just personal preference (like i play it capo 5, but like you said you could move it around)..I only have the 3-4-05 solo version from the Vic and he doesn't play your [a]var2 and it sounds like [Cmaj7] in the interlude isn't b - 3p1p0p1 but just alternating b - 0 g - 0, but hey, that's just me....anyway, i appreciate the work you did, thanks!
  20. Hey War on War...I'll let you borrow my copy of MA II...I teach at DGS (saw your previous post about Thax)
  21. Yes this is great..thanks for posting!
  22. Thanks for the help..I've always played it like "jhc" but I always thought there was more after that one hammer...
  23. Got an easy one for you guys... In the main riff after the progression from Bm - C, Tweedy uses some hammer ons/ pull offs around the C chord but I can't figure out exactly what he's doing....(especially on the solo versions)...any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  24. Here's a link for a midi for Outtasite (outtamind) http://www.gumbopages.com/music/wilco/midi/outasite.mid it's not bad...for a midi file
