  1. there's a new Corps book out now, written by Dave Gibbons. but it focuses on Guy alot, so you might not dig it. Kyle's no longer a GL, they've turned him into Ion, haven't seen Stewart in awhile, and Jordan is back to being the top dog of the Corps, along as a member of the new Justice League.
  2. yes, they are, but they aren't DC superheroes in the sense that Superman, Batman, Nightwing, Green Lantern, etc. are. and that's the point I'm making. and I think i'll stick with this name, because it's truer to my roots.
  3. you into the Green Lantern Corps, or are you just a Hal Jordan fan?
  4. yes, this is true. Moore wanted to use the Charlton characters, but DC nixed the idea (they wanted to use them themselves, so they could fuck them up 20 years later) and yes, the DC sheild (actually it's called the DC Bullet) is on the Watchmen books, but their story takes place outside of the DC Universe, it's not even part of any multiple earths that DC used to use. therefore, they are not DC Suprheroes, regardless of what logo they have on their books or what characters they were based on.
  5. Jeff's producing. this should make all the O'Rourke haters happy..or maybe not
  6. oh, ok! I was worried there for a minute. yeah, Hellblazer was terrible. they could've done some amazing stuff with the character, and they just blew it. I'm hoping they follow the whole "Tony Stark: Alcoholic" story arc. that was good stuff. I know Downey Jr is playing Stark/Ironman, have they mentioned any other cast members? I'm wondering who they'll get to play Jim Rhodes.
  7. what? when was this made? and to totally nitpick, while DC published the Watchmen, they are not DC Superheroes. they are not part of the DCU canon, in any continuity. so I'd like to 2nd Calexico's opinion about Green Lantern.
  8. like any of these selfish bastards would follow any sort of guidelines, especially if it meant they'd have to wait even longer to get their precious files.
  9. he played it at the Champaign show too, also available for download at etree
  10. I don't read any of these. I guess I get most of my info from artists' websites.
  11. sometime after this, Jeff came off the stage, took off my hat, grabbed my by the head and kissed me on the cheek. I wonder if I should've hit him.
  12. and the song in question was "Hillbilly Drummer Girl", which is one of Scott's songs.
  13. you all should stop listening to Wilco. it's obvious that your lives are ruined.
