I'll say it again - judgment is more important than experience. (See: Abraham Lincoln.) -

Reagan for decades had been passionate about his opposition to Communism, so the man obviously had thoughts about the wider world. -

When I took history in school, we never really had time to get into the 20th century, much less the 21st, which, to be fair, hadn't happened yet when I was taking history in school. -

Biden also has to worry about not looking like a smug dick, which might be tough, because she is so unpolished and clearly out of her depth. -
The downside is that a SUNY degree isn't really worth a lot in the job market, but since I lack ambition, paying more for a flashier degree would have been a waste, frankly.

I went to a SUNY. I paid off my debt before Kurt Cobain was dead.

Having belonged to a shitty union (Newspaper Guild) while working for a cheapshit employer (Journal Register Co.), I am a little envious of the UAW's clout. Ultimately, it takes two to tango, and if GM/Ford/DaimlerChrysler wanted to dig in its heels, it could have done so. -

I keep meaning to tell McCain about the dream I had about the Vietnamese submarine aircraft carriers sneaking up the Hudson to attack Poughkeepsie. -

Some friends of mine might lose their house because they can't refinance their mortgage. Middle-class people are going to suffer for this. The people who caused it will by and large suffer no more than having additional free time on their hands. -

If a delay in the return of the stability of the financial system results in a credit-tightening that results in my company not being able to borrow money to meet payroll some week down the line, that would suck. Just sayin'. -
Keep it up - in a little while you'll be dick enough to be a Yankees fan!

Well, obviously a better job of selling this to the American people must be done. It could also use a few scapegoats whose cruel and unusual punishment would be part of the plan. -
This is what my congresshottie had to say, and if it is good enough for Hotness, it is good enough for me. Below is a statement from Congresswoman Gillibrand: "While I am fully aware of the seriousness of the financial problems in the market, I do not believe the bill Congress voted on today was the right approach. The bill has insufficient oversight and protections and does not address the root causes of the crisis or the poor economy. "While the bill is better than the three page document the Bush Administration tried to ram through Congress last week, Secretary Paulson's plan is funda

Peter King: The best team: New York Giants. Somewhere in between the Cowboys giving up 37 points to the Eagles and 381 yards to the Redskins -- both at home -- and listening to Terrell Owens complain last night that he's not getting the ball enough, I came to realize the team with the best talent is not the best team. At least not now. The Giants have retained the hunger of a team on the verge of winning a Super Bowl -- not of a team that just won one. In training camp, Justin Tuck told me the defensive linemen were sitting around at the team's Super Bowl party in Phoenix, three hours afte

Fuck it. Fuck the whole enterprise. Nobody is really that happy with the U.S. anyway.

Good job by the Bears last night.

I have searched my feelings and conclude that I do not give one single shit who wins the World Series.
