  1. Yeah, Outlaw Country is pretty good when you are in the mood for bullshit-free shit-kicking music.
  2. Snuff boxes, dueling pistols, chamber pots, stuff like that.
  3. Will she be laid to rest next to Clara Peller?
  4. And Peter the Great is, well, great. Knows how to get things done.
  5. Alexander III, or the guy who said back in the 1970s that we may have to regulate the amount of babies people can have.
  6. He is not kidding. It sounds fantastic!
  7. A great show. Three songs in, I had the feeling I was seeing a great band truly at the height of their powers. LOVED the setlist. The segue from "Poor Places" to "Spiders" was absolutely killer, as was just about everything. LOVED "Too Far Apart" and "Bull Black Nova" did not disappoint in any way. I had not been to Dutchess Stadium in a long time, but it turned out to be a nice, user-friendly venue to see a show. We sat in the seats far up the first base line - easy access to beer and bathrooms, but we were still close enough to be thoroughly rocked. Met up with Wilco Worshipper at the good-b
  8. I would say I am pro-Meg White, but the comment about the sisters and the eyeball was pretty funny. We just watched Clash of the Titans the other night.
  9. I think I would take disco over that guy six days a week.
  10. Thanks to everybody who has taken the time and trouble to make mixes. XOXOX
  11. "Goddam Peter Laughner rippin' off Jeff Tweedy!"
  12. Think how the robots in the Dark Ages were clunkier than those during Roman times.
  13. Single-payer will strengthen care Dr. Donald J. Palmisano, a past president of the American Medical Association, recently wrote that our country’s health care system “the finest in the world” and went on to say how a publicly financed health care system could ruin what has been built. He cites such potential horrors as long waits for specialists, bureaucratic intervention in medical decisions, and taxpayers bearing the burden of a government plan as reasons to oppose the creation of one. I have one question for Dr. Palmisano: What country do you live in? In my country, America, we have
  14. A problem is that a lot of people living in cities do not have easy access to fresh food. Poughkeepsie, for instance, hasn't had a supermarket in the city for more than a decade now.
  15. From shoving Gitmo inmates into a woodchipper. Duh.
  16. Bull-shit man. Michelle actually having a brain makes her much hotter than Palin.
  17. I'll be there too. Probably not in front, but with an entourage.
  18. I used to use the thingy (a small, circular dense brush, with some special fluid) that Discwasher used to sell with the record cleaning thingy and other special fluid.
  19. I think that movie was Milius' way of saying he wished he was Vietnamese.
  20. Cuba comes in just ahead of us, according to the CIA World Factbook.
  21. Are people in Canada, Great Britain and France dropping dead because their health care is rationed? Geez, haven't heard of that. In fact, since all three of those countries AND 54 OTHERS rank ahead of the U.S. in life expectancy, they must be doing something right.
  22. Jesus, what is it with people and socialized medicine? Don't they realize that anything has got to be better than what we have now, with all the money we spend on dishing out emergency room care to people who come in with shit that could have been prevented easily if they had some sort of option for doing so? I mean, show me the sick person who is all like, "Well, I am very sick but since I have no health insurance, I obviously deserve to suffer and die and leave the health care to my betters."
