  1. Ackk there I am in the light blue shirt in the front row looking goofy...thanks for posting though!
  2. yeah I am here...good to know someone has a similar sentiment.
  3. Thanks...I have been a fan since 89 (When I was a wee 9 year old)...this will be hard for me to get used to...
  4. I blame Stipe 100% for this...Mills and Buck were happy touring and music is in their blood. Stipe is all about the NYC scene, fashion and sculptures...I saw Stipe speak at a NY Times event a few months ago and you can tell his heart was elsewhere. I was trying to put it at the back of my mind as a phase and was hoping they would get out there and tour together again. On a side note WILCO IS NOW MY #2 (after Radiohead) BAND! PLEASE DON'T FAIL ME NOW WILCO I NEED YOU!!!
  5. http://www.brooklynv...all_it_a_d.html http://www.murmurs.com/topic/117884-rem-call-it-a-day/ Hope it is not true! I know many don't care for their later work but R.E.M. musical influence on my life and how it effected how I listened to music was huge. I am not sure what to think yet as I know their popularity has been plummiting over the years but I am in shock..
  6. SHOULDN'T BE ASHAMED! Now that is a nice surprise...please play that in NYC
  7. I am attending a show of his in NYC soon...I like Girlfriend so it was an easy decision....I wish though he was doing a 100% Fun or Blue Skies show because those are my 2 fav albums by him but I will take what i can get!
  8. I am on the other side of the coin. Once I hear a song live once I don't care as much about hearing it again. I would take a song live off the new album to substitute one of the older ones I heard many times but that is just me. The rare time when I hear a new song for me live at a Wilco show is VERY EXCITING TO ME. Most recently when I saw Jeff solo and he played Whats the World Got In Store a nice rareity that I finally heard live after 15 shows...made my night.
  9. I hate to be this type of guy too but I was hoping for more of a core setlist shake up! The following has been played at ever show I have seen Wilco do since the SBS tour which is probably about 10 or so times...As an interesting observation I am surpised they took out Heavy Metal and Spiders.. Misunderstood I Am Trying To Break Your Heart Your Are My Face Impossible Germany Via Chicago I'm Always In Love Shot In The Arm Hummingbird Jesus, Etc. I'm The Man Who Loves You
  10. Yep true. I attended the Elvis Costello taping and he played for 75 min or so. Great show...very intimate!
  11. Wonder if Mookie Blaylock showed up?
  12. Ohh the memories! This was my first Wilco show!
  13. JAK2112 Awesome! Where was the benefit? I assume Bruce would be easy to talk to... Jff I forgot I also met Rollins. Ironically I asked to sign a book for my friend who was getting married. He told me to tell my friend not to do it! Was pretty funny.
  14. Sure I realize everyone will have different impression...maybe you catch them on a good day, bad whatever...maybe something cool happened? Get to ask any questions, anything else memorable? For me working concert security/publicity for 4 years helped with some of these also used to go to Conan and Letterman a ton in the 90's was easy to meet bands there. Jeff Tweedy- Nice, friendly met him probably 4 or so times. Helped him find his car after a show once! Jay Farrar-Not so talkative, short answers....signed my Wide Swing Tremolo cd so works for me Michael Stipe-Usually in a odd mood. Never

Give me your list! Some of my favorites... 1.
