  1. Sure I realize everyone will have different impression...maybe you catch them on a good day, bad whatever...maybe something cool happened? Get to ask any questions, anything else memorable? For me working concert security/publicity for 4 years helped with some of these also used to go to Conan and Letterman a ton in the 90's was easy to meet bands there. Jeff Tweedy- Nice, friendly met him probably 4 or so times. Helped him find his car after a show once! Jay Farrar-Not so talkative, short answers....signed my Wide Swing Tremolo cd so works for me Michael Stipe-Usually in a odd mood. Never

  10. Give me a list of some of your favorite, most impressive concert openigns you saw. Any song you weren't expecting that packed a punch? Any crazy visuals or unforgettable moments? Give me your list! Some of my favorites... 1. First time I saw REM they opened with I Took Your Name..never paid much attention to that song but now when it comes on my ipod randomly I remember that moment when I finally saw my favorite band live and it sunk in! 2. Same with Wilco..opened with Misunderstood...perfect live intro to Wilco 3. U2- First time I saw U2 was on the popmart tour. They opened with Popmu

I was at the last show they played it at in Brooklyn...it was awesome...should be a fairly regular staple imho!
  17. True... Also LCD was a major major fiasco but somehow then they rereleased some seats and I scored section 73!
  18. I do feel for your plight but in reality this happens to 95% of the shows in the NYC area and I am sure other major cities.....
  19. In NYC they are...last Manhattan show was June 06 to boot*! *Not counting opening for Neil Young at MSG
  20. NYC gone already? What was that 1 minute? Hey Wilco let me give you a little hint.. You are very popular in NYC..Play more shows..maybe even do a residency!
  21. Strategically it makes sense...if someone buys during a presale and see only the back of the house is availble you might think oh crap it is almost sold out..better to get something rather than nothing!
  22. Don't want to be a downer but on the flipside I went ticketless to the Brooklyn Show when they played Cyclone Stadium and it took me a good hour plus to get a single ticket at face..I rather of had a ticket in hand (From tm) then look over and over for tickets...some shows at central park when sold out are very hard to score outside at a good deal. Only chance I found where if you walk into the show late, the band is playing mulitple shows in the city, or you REALLY get lucky.
  23. the passwords are usually for bigger sales when they have amex gold involved....then it is the first 6 numbers of your amex is the presale code...I only had to enter the code when I was buying shows for MSG
