That's true too! I was just talking about if Rice would help Mccain! We need new faces all around! -

I don't take much stock in this. If Bush's approval rating is at an all time low and Rice is associated with Bush I would think her joining McCain would harm him, no? -

The generosity of Jeff and Y'all is great. If I am reading it correctly $60,000 was raised! Good job everyone! Great charity! -

I will use the PNC Arts Center as an example once more. I once thought I could save a bundle going to the box office at the venue. I get there wait in line and walla still a service charge almost as high as online?! How is this? Well the box office rep explained to me it is not a venue box office but a ticketmaster location thus they are not service charge free. I laughed then said ok if that is so I would like to buy a ticket for a show in NYC. A long silence ensued. Nope I can only can sell you tickets for events at the PNC!? You see the problem here?!
-
Then they should call it a lawn maintenance charge!
-
I don' think there is anything worse than playing a building facility charge when you are sitting on the lawn for a pavillion show. PNC Arts Center in NJ charges a $6 building facility charge even if you are sitting on the lawn! What building would I be using sitting on the lawn?!? Doesn't say facility charge which would be rediculous too but a building facility charge! Doesn't the venue get a cut of the ticket price anyways?

He is quite energetic! He certianly enjoys doing those mini windmills. I was unfamilar with a lot fo the songs he played but the ones he played he played fast and furious. He stated that he had dozens of songs he wanted to play so he wasn't going to talk so he can play more. He played a handful of songs off the new Old 97's record which is supposed to be released in May. He said it should leak this week and they just gave the album to the press Good time! I am soo sleepy though as I went to three concerts in three days...I can't keep this up like I used to in my younger days!

What's the rarest record or memorabilia you have from any band?

Cool..any story to share on how you got it? -
Great show last night! Gary sounded great! I unfortunatley got their late Fortunatley I was able to attend the Taping of the Colbert Report in which REM was on which was a blast but I didn't realize how long the taping would take.... I came in at To Die a Happy Man. The show was extra short too because there was a 10:30 curfew. Interestingly enough though I was sitting in the 5th row where a young man wearing a Rangers Jersey was fist pumping to the most random songs. He also did guitar windmills...I was entertained at the thought that someone would be so enthusiastically rocking to Gary!

Cool. I met Beck back in 97 and he signed my Odelay..unfortunatley he signed it upsidedown....or maybe I gave him the booklet upsidedown...anyhoo -
Hey all, I known there are a ton of Rhett Miller Fans here. Seeing him at Maxwells on Thursday and was wondering what to expect. I have seen the Old 97's once years ago and liked it. What about his solo shows...does he tour with a backing band? Does he play a lot of Old 97's songs? How long are his sets..any info would be great!

I have 2 copies of R.E.M.'s first single on vinyl of Radio Free Europe/Sitting Still on the Hib Tone label. I have seen them go anywhere from $100-500 on ebay based on the condition. I also have a Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton signed picture. The best autographs I obtained in person were Billy Joel ,Tom Petty and Elliott Smith who signed cd's for me. I also have almost all the Led Zepplin albums on vinyl..not sure how much that is worth but I am glad I have em.
